Sulphur Tor Invitational Dec. 6 & 7
Pool A: Lafayette Pineville Carencro Central Lafourche
Pool B: Sulphur Alexandria Acadiana Westminster
Pool C: St. Louis Barbe Caddo Magnet Hahnville
Some things to look for:
Carencro versus Lafayette before the 2 play in district
Acadiana versus Sulphur before the 2 play in district
Caddo Magnet and Hahnville(2 of the best teams in Div. I) are in the same bracket with St. Louis (maybe the best team in Div. III)
It will be interesting to see if Alexandria and Central Lafourche can compete with all of the "Big Boys"

you don't really know what you're talkin about there. hahnville yes but never have i heard anyone talk like caddo mag was decent accept caddo mag. and whats wrong with central lafourche. They proved in the past that they can hang with the big boys. And i'm pretty sure that they have a returning all stater. I can't say much for alexandria though. but we'll see. Also, who would wanna watch sulphur get smoked by acadiana. when have they not gotten smoked by them. i call laffayette, acadiana, hahnville, and WC carencro in the semis.

This looks like it will be a good little tourney. I think the semis will have Lafayette, Acadiana, St. Louis, and Central Lafourche. District 3 starts district play Tuesday with Lafayette and Carencro playing each other, so this should be a second meeting between some of these teams this year. All in all, I must say I am impressed with the calibur of teams competing. Anything could happen. Eventhough, I predicted the teams above, it wouldn't surprise me if, Hahnville, Caddo, Carencro, or Alexandria make it into the semis instead. Should be some good soccer. Can't Wait.

Predictions: Pool A - To hard to call, Lafayette and Carencro are very good (look for both teams to make a run for the state championship), CL could sneak in - I saw wil wilson from CL play with the Lafreniere u-17s in the Lafayette tournament a few months ago and he lit it up against the 2 Lafayette area U-18 teams, can he do it again without as strong of a supporting cast?? The wild card will not come from this group, but the champion probably will.
Pool B- Acadiana in a cake walk, Sulphur will beat Alexandria and Westminster then move on as the wild card (thats why you put 2 weak teams in your pool)
Pool C- Hahnville over St.Louis by points, Caddo Magnet just misses out, but will play well.
8 quality teams - looks to be an interesting tournament.

Now that most teams have played a game or two, this may be the most competitive tournament of the pre-season. Will be very interesting.

acadiana takes bracket B and lafayette takes bracket A St. Louis takes bracket C , no question, and whoever said that carencro and lafayette will be too close to call, ur mistaken, carencro and lafayette have already net twice this year and lafayette has dominated both games, carencro doesnt have much this year, lafayette will definitely win that bracket, and whoever put hahnville beats AHS in the finals uve gotta be kidding

It is not likely that Alexandria/ASH will be able to play up to the big dogs. Their team, while not young, is fairly inexperienced. As of now, they are lacking leadership on the field without their all-state sweeper. Of the starters maybe 6 return from last years starting line-up. In my eyes, a victory for them is being competitive with the teams in their bracket, and that's about it. Until their other captain steps up, the team cannot be successful.

you forget this is the sulfur tournament, Sulfur almost always breaks brackett in their tournament.
a) - Lafayette b) - Acadiana c) - Hahnville
WC - either Sulfur or Central Lafourche.
If CL is WC
Acadiana (1 seed) 3 vs CL(WC)1 Lafayette (2 seed) 2vs Hahnville1 (3 seed)
If Sulfur is WC
Lafayette (2 seed)3 vs Sulfur (WC)0 (Lafayette will be out to prove a point) Acadiana (3 seed)2 vs Hahnville(3 seed)1
The reason I have Acadiana as 1 seed is because they have the easiest bracket followed by Lafayette's brackett, then Hahnville. Pool C is a tough pool.
Finals will be Lafayette vs Acadiana for the first time this year.

Yall are forgetting there are 2 or 3 more pools in the tournament. I feel are yall predictions aren't going to go yall way. There are going to be some upsets because of the wet fields. Wait and see.

Not sure how much Sulphur has improved since the jamboree in Lafayette. In that game they didn't have any shots on goal and Acadiana dominated the whole 40 minutes. But, as can be seen by last Tuesday's results, the weather certainly can be an equalizer. Definitely looks like Acadiana has the weakest bracket, they have already played both Sulphur and Westminster and should be able to handle ASH. It will be interesting to see how Central Lafourche plays with the SW LA teams. Look for Lafayette and Acadiana to be in the finals in a prelude to next weeks district game.

I don't see the fuss over LAF. Cl beat them, and LAF showed no real problem at all. Carecnro was a better team than LAF. LAF is very overrated this year. Everyone doubted CL and they walked threw there backet.
