I've sat back and watched as a few posters spew forth their ignorance and get others "riled up".
I have a few quotes to share in honor of those posters. [glow=red,2,300]WHO DO THESE DESCRIBE?[/glow] Have a chuckle at their expense, then let's practice a little "IGNORE - ANCE" of our own and ignore those people's posts and not reply to any of them unless they are of substance.
"Ignorance is bliss and some people seem really happy."
A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance. ~Saul Bellow
The trouble with people is not that they don't know but that they know so much that ain't so. ~Josh Billings
To be ignorant of one's ignorance is the malady of ignorance. ~A. Bronson Alcott
Not ignorance, but ignorance of ignorance, is the death of knowledge. ~Alfred North Whitehead
Light travels faster than sound. That's why most people seem bright until you hear them speak. ~Author Unknown
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. ~Albert Einstein
The truest characters of ignorance Are vanity, and pride, and annoyance.
The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance - it is the illusion of knowledge.

I teach freshman, you can imagine how many times a day this goes through my mind:
It is better for people to suspect you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove any doubt. - ancient Chinese proverb
that always makes me laugh

People who use these quotes lack any real thought themselves. Quotes are for intellectual midgets who are not interested in serious debate or thought. Teachers and other midgets think they sound smart when they use a quote, but to those of us who have something resembling a 130+ IQ brain, you remind us why you're down there and we're up here.
With that said,
DO IT BIG

Pitch, gotta hand it to you.
You set a trap for Mr. Congeniality, and he stepped into it with both feet.
Brilliant!

Couldn't "Do it BIG" be considered a quote?

Couldn't "Do it BIG" be considered a quote? Yes it is a quote and he stole it from my quote of D-Tizzle. Hypocrosy at its best.

OK! It is one thing to get on here and run your mouth about Jesuit but before you dis a teacher think about this: If there were no teachers (and coaches are a type of teacher) then there would be no school, with no school there would be no high school athletics, no high school athletics, no high school soccer, no high school soccer, no Laprep message board, no Laprep message board, nowhere for you to spout your drivel. And with no teachers I am afraid you and your high IQ would go to waste or is it already........?

A lot of the above quotes sound as those they are some of the parents heard up in the stands during games. If you take offense at this comment maybe you need to check the mirror it maybe you PitchStalker was talking about

Bish,
I never said he hated teachers I was just trying to make a point since we midgets and teachers (I think I am both) are trying to sound smart with quotes.
There is a difference between your posts and others(1 person in particular), your posts are smart and clever, well-informed, a little racey at times, edgy and sometimes downright humorous, but always well-intentioned, some others just post un-informed drivel.
Merry Christmas!

I know. I don't want to sound like I am speaking for him or anything, but I think it's possible to dislike some characteristics of teachers but still appreciate them. I know it's true because I've felt the same way.

I find it funny that this post was MOVED! When it appears most of the main posters to the BOYS SOCCER Forum were using the thread, BUT at the same time nothing is done to far less mineless things...just an observation.
On the topic of "intellectual midgets"...truly intelligent people realize that they don't know everything and seek the knowledge of others t increase their own.
Another quote, "Confucious say man who fly airplane upside down have CRACK UP!" Seems we have a constant upside down pilot on our hands...
