TEXTWhich of these four will win the Catholic League and why? Is De La Salle going to be any good this year? I guess Shaw probably will not. How many starters does each team have returning from last year?TEXT

From watching Bro. Martin and Jesuit both play Lafayette High, I would say Jesuit would win the Catholic League. They are solid throughout their entire team and subs, they keep shape on the field and stay spread. They pass effectively and are never in a hurry to force anything. Also, Jesuit has a history of getting better as the year goes on, so things are looking up for them. However, whenever you have a team that plays a patient passing game, they can be beaten by teams less skilled but put pressure on the ball always. Should be an interesting district.
Sorry, I have not seen Rummel nor HC play yet, so I don't have an opinion on them.
Best of Luck to all teams.

holy cross isnt that good..they have a few skilled players..#3 (??name), shuford #8, and dario #22 is pretty good too. they dont have a pasing game at all. they play long ball rom shuford's foot and when they re lsoing shuford plays up top but usually isnt effective.

CATHOLIC LEAGUE,,,,,,,,there is NO such CRITTER
What a DARN SHAME that the Public schools have to compete with the Catholic/Private schools for state champions...Just take a LOQK at both Boys and Girls winners from last year,,,,,SEE anything FISHY there??
Is it FAIR to have players that live OUTSIDE their local public school districts STACKING up on a particular private school to WIN the State Title.....
In all due respect to the players on such teams,,,,they are some of the BETTER players to begin with,,,and I wonder why??.,,,,,,Their parents have SPENT many dollars improving their skills.....many select tournaments, soccer camps out of state,,,,,they have paid for coaches from England and ex retired PRO players to coach their kids.....THEN,,,when the child reaches High School age,,,they ship them across district lines to the POWERHOUSE private school.....
YALL think this is FAIR PLAY?yea right!!!!!!!
