To www.LAHSsoccer.com management. I was thinking of the idea on occasion writing to invite conversation and discussion on such topics as the laws of the game, how officials get into being officials, how they get their start and early training, why some calls when seen from different points of view become more clear and such topics as these. I in no way or shape have any thought of flaming any official and would not approve of anyone that did. Is there already a place for such discussion? And if not could you give us a new forum header where such discussion would be appropriate? Thank you for hearing my request

I started a referee forum back in May. I took it down in mid October after exactly zero posts were made there.

If you would be so kind as to put it back up I'll do my best to provide some grist for the mill. At lest until it catches on.

Nobody cares about your precious referee forum. Just drop it.

Cajunref,
There was an interesting call a few weeks ago I heard players speaking of where a keeper came out and jumped to get a high ball but the opposing striker jumped higher and met the ball sooner then the keeper did. As I understand it the keeper’s forehead hit the striker in the chest when gravity pulled him back down and the ball went in back of net off a header by the striker. Later the players were talking about some new rule (which I can't find) that no matter what it’s a foul if you touch the keep prior to their hitting the ground. It sound like an interesting debate to me especially if there is some new unpublished rule.
In other words the striker had made contact with the ball and sent it toward the back of the net (playing the ball) way before the keeper collided with him.
Perhaps no one is interested in this type of debate but without checking how else can I find out?
I feel that the younger refs needs a place where they can get together wiht their peers and chat.

You've got a month to get it active. Otherwise, it gets the axe.
