You heard it here first. Come back to this thread in February when it works out like this.

Whoa dude. Too soon to make that call. In its own 8 team district, Mandeville has been picked this year for the number 5 slot, 4 slot, and 2 slot. St Paul's is expected to take it all. Until, of course, they play the BIG BLUE MACHINE. peace, out.

LSU: You are forgetting about Will Wilson and the potent offense of Central Lafourche.

It is way to soon to make any predictions on state. If Mandy is going to the state finals they still have to play teams from the catholic league and district 3 as well as district 4. Just because Mandeville won a tournament that really consisted of the northshore district, CL (number 2 team in their district) and HC (number 4 team in their district) doesn't mean anything. If mandeville really wants to see how good they are, they need to goto the St. Louis tournament, because most of the top teams in the state are going. Mandy is a top 10 team, no doubt. Since the beginning, they were my pick for the nrthshore district, but you have to beat better teams than CL and HC to think you are a shoe in for the finals.

Agree with your post about Mandeville. Too early in the season. Most of the posts I read today said we beat average teams with average players. If so, maybe next time we might score some goals in the first half. Who do you rank first in Central Lafouche's division, and 1, 2 and 3 in Holy Cross's division? I didn't know anyone had picked us first. Every listing I have seen has St. Pauls at the top of the table. I appreciate your comments. Looks like we could start off at # 8 (The 3 teams in HC division, 1 in CL, Lafayette, Acadiana, and St. Pauls in no particular order. Then Mandeville). Also, where do I find the post-season matchups?

To find bracketts for state check www.lhsaa.org/brackets.php3In the catholic league, I think it will be 1-Jesuit, 2-Bro. Martin, 3-Rummel, 4-HC.....I would think HC would be a shoe in for a WC spot. I think Hahnville is a better team this year than CL based on the fact that most of CL's team hasn't played soccer in a while and Hahnville has. I think CL will solidify the #2 spot in that district fairly easily. I think Mandeville will break top 5 in the first poll b/c of the fact that you didn't just win the tournament. You beat all the teams pretty soundly which means your team has probably gelled well already. Other teams in the state will too as the year goes on. I saw Mandy play last year and I was impressed. I think this year Mandeville will win the Nrthshore district. I haven't seen St. Paul's but in my opinion, I think Mandy will play well enough to go in as the #1 seed.

I just looked at the brackets. Someone check me on this, but the Quarterfinals could be a REMATCH - Mandeville vs. Central Lafouche (if CL is #2 in district 6). The victor will play the winner of the Jesuit and Lafayette match. If I am correct, these will be Excellent Games!
How do you rate Baton Rouge in their district? BR defense looked pretty good vs. Fontainebleau, Mandeville and Ben Franklin. Not much offense yet.
Here's a game I would enjoy watching: Holy Cross vs. Central Lafouche.
Also, from this weekend's results, I would rank CL over Hahnville.

I think BRHS and Catholic will compete for the #1 seed in District 4. Whoever gets the number 1 seed, will probably play Carencro in the first round.
