thats the first time anybody has been red carded in the final. I was happy with the way campbell and cole played in the back and thats a good thing for england. henry was just too frustrated to even get his act together. arguing with wenger may have made henrys decision and will go to barcalona. ljungberg played some beautiful football. so did most of the team. Hleb who i knew was a great player when he was at stuttgart pulled off some good skills and nearly made the gunners go up 2 nil. henry had alot of opportunities but just was not his usual self and couldnt finish. the game was good, very wet causing the fouls to look more nasty than usuall. I just wanted the cup to go back to England.Im just thinking in my head about Eto'o and Henry upfront with deco and Ronny behind them. That is not a strikeforce you want to mess with. I would love to see it happen though.

Definitely. I was also very happy with how Arsenal composed themselves after the game. There wasnt any bickering or fighting, just all love between Barca and Arsenal players. Ludovic Giuly even brought his son on the field on his shoulders after the game and he got kisses from every Arsenal player. Great atmosphere during the game. I wish that they would play a game every week. Tremendous matchup.
I was suprised at Cole and Campbells form in this one. They were better than I expected. That is good news for England. Campbells confidence is going to be way up because of his great header in the final. Cole was beating Giuly and Edmilson more than half of the time as well.

hard loss for Arsenal who played their hearts out, and had some questionable calls without a doubt.

Yea I wasnt too pleased with that ref overall. Made calls for Barca, then none for Arsenal, and vice versa. To me it almost looked as if he was giving Arsenal easier calls. Such as the Eboue DIVE which really upset me. He might have felt that he "owed" them after red carding Lehmann, but I dont know.

I think the rain and how slippery it was made it look majorly worse than it did on the telly. I think with the amount of pressure that the ref had before the game, I didnt think he did to bad of a job myself. The Eboue was a crazy call but he may have been at a bad angle or something.

I think once a ref makes one bad call, and he knows it he starts getting in trouble. He feels like he has to compensate for the other team, then when he does he feels the pressure from the fans to compensate for the other team, especially ina cup final.

Just imagine a European Cup Final with thousands of people, Arsene Wenger yelling at you, crazy Englishmen and Spainards(no offense), and the drama built up by the Linesman incident before the final. Wow. Im glad I wasn't in charge lol.
