More Official Rooney News:-
Against Portugal in Euro 2004, Rooney broke his "fifth" metatarsal. It was said he would be out for 8 weeks, but he never touched a ball for 12 weeks.
This time it is said that we will be out of action for 6 weeks. Hopefully this does not get stretched to 9 weeks.
Sven has roughly 2 weeks to pick his FINAL squad anyway.....
More Official England News:-
JOHN TERRY - he is on crutches this evening and cannot put his foot down. He will have more scans in the morning. At the moment, it is unclear about his injury.
MICHAEL OWEN - came on as a sub against Birmingham, BUT complained to the physio after the game that 'something was not quite right'. Hopefully this is not another setback.

this is really dumb and is going to effect the england squad. terry, owen and rooney being out cannot happen because then we will not have as much of a chance of bringing that cup home. i hope they all get better soon so we can kick some serious arse. plus why does the england team always have to be unlucky

Deridder, shut the phuck up!
I am tired of you crying all the time and remarking how much you know about the game. You don't know chit!
My Fowler comment was a jibe at you, not a declaration that he has a chance being on the team.
England probably is not going to have much better than Fowler with Owen and Rooney out of the competition.
Crouch, Bent, Heskey, etc?
You might as well call on Fowler.

You might as well call on Fowler. You NEED pace at this level. Fowler has none. You were the one banging on about how many goals at this level are breakaways, so you cant subscribe to both theories of having saying 'pick fowler' and 'many goals are on breakaways'. It doesnt add up. Crouch and Bent are a hell of a lot more useful than Fowler.

First of all, you are the one saying Fowler does not have pace, not me.
And, I said that at the world cup level, there are not as many breakaways, so you got what I said completely backwards.
Crouch and Bent are not spectacular forwards and now Sven says he will bring in Heskey.
Fowler is not even in Sven's radar.
I think he should be with the lack of healthy talent for England.

man i know alot more about this sport than you do thats for sure. and i can whine as much as i want too because im talkin about MY country not YOUR country. I am just saying my opinion and if you dont like it then go to hell my friend. ASnd anyway no one is even listening to you and why do you care about england so much, i know because there 10 times better than the usa team. You need to pull your head out of your ass and realise that i really dont care what you say because im going somewhere with this sport and all you can be is a spectator and a fan and think he knows stuff but know jack s hit.

Fowler has absolutely no pace whatsoever. I could mark him out of a game. Fowler's not even good in the air.
Crouch can win stuff in the air, which might be useful. Bent has proved he's scoring goals and has pace AND is good in the air. Defoe looks like he's finding form again.
Sven never said anything about Heskey.
