Just think things sometimes happen for a reason. Denmark getting into Euro champs at expense of Yugoslavia in 1992, and end up winning it. Got similar vibe here. Last few years, esp since Euro 04, has been all Rooney, Rooney, Rooney, and rightly so, then along comes a total curve ball pretty much out of nowhere. ..........stuff legends are made of, plus Pele and Maradone had similar teenage world cup experience. Who knows, could be way off base, but just think he subs in, creates a lot or possibly scores and huge demand is on to play him more. Will be immensely interesting to see it all unfold.

I was referring to his injuries and off field antics! He had the potential to be the George Best of his era, the English Maradona. The picture of Vinnie Jones gripping Gascoine by the Crown Jewels best exemplifies the ability he had as this seemed to be the only way anyone could mark him. Unless you just waited for to make a tackle and injure himself!! They say"there is a fine line between Genius and Lunatic", people have different opinions on what side he was on!

His brains were defintely in his feet. He was a GENATIC and Jimmy Five Bellies was the LUNIUS.
