I have heard a lot about this year's defending champions in each division. I expect Jesuit to be the powerhouse it usually is, but what about St. Martin's and Vandebilt. I have heard that STM has only young guys but don't count them out with their coach. He could teach one-legged children how to get to the state championship. Plus didn't some of those freshman play on the team last year as freshman

Vandebilt returns a host of good players, about 4 all-staters, so they should win again. Ben Franklin, St. Thomas Moore or Alexandria could give them a game, but not likely. Ben Franklin would have the best chance to knock them off, but again, not likely. St. Martin's has tons of freshman, 3 of which were on varsity as 8th graders (1 started and played in the finals). THey have one or two sophmores and about 3 or 4 juniors...no seniors. Leadership could be a problem on this team. They should be decent at the start of the season, but towards the end, then could be a team that could make a run at something, another State Championship is not likely, but you never know with coach Julio.

Jesuit is one of the favorites in Division I and Vandy is probably a favorite in Div II but I am not sure about St. Martin. From what I am hearing St. Thomas Aquinas is the team to beat in Division III.

Why is everyone counting those young boys out (STM)? It is almost like people have given up. They will have their state championship title until someone else takes it from them in February. Anyway, they play their first scrimmage today against EJ a chance to scout

Does anyone know who won the St. Martin's vs. EJ scrimmage?

What a useless scrimmage. EJ is not a worthy opponent.
