if u are playing any teams from northeast louisiana soon, you shouldnt worry too much. most of them are made of up of football players or kids that play low level rec soccer. now the coaching around here isnt the greatest either. but nobody from this area should give anybody a hard time. except maybe river oaks and they play in mpsa.

sounds like u play for river oaks
river oaks is in the mpsa, like you said, and isn't allowed to play teams in this area...
Therefore, stop trying to talk a bunch of smack that you will never even get the chance to back up (which you probably couldn't back up anway)

why aren't they allowed to play teams just by being in the mpsa. Jackson Prep was just here in Showcase, why can't River Oaks play lhssa teams.

im just saying that if u look at the northeast as a whole, there are no teams that will go far in the play offs or in any big tournaments. this area is soccer ignorant. and river oaks has been farther than these teams becuz in mpsa they just dont let anybody in their play offs, u have 2 win and be good. here any team can make it. i used 2 play at a public school and it was terrible becuz we sucked so bad and went 2 play offs and got killed. no point in a sucky team making it when there r better teams out there

from what youve heard thou. apparently to people who dont no soccer i guess they could. if u like kick ball physical rec soccer. now we have other players that r just as good as the footballers. they add a new demention to the game becuz they have played in big games with select and odp teams. im not saying those guys are any better but im just saying what u hear always isnt true. if u asked me rite now 4 the 3 best players, it would be a hard choice out of like 5 guys. plus we did play st. freds j.v. last year so who knows maybe we can play lhsaa teams. and im not really talking trash. im promoting my team. we were up 2-0 on jackson academy (#1 team from the other district) at half time. lack of players and bad luck lost us the game. along w/ some other stuff i wont say. but being up on a #1 seed is better than any other ne la teams have done except 4 neville a few years back. nobody else has done anything

well lets just state the obvious here
neville - no where near the team they were. can barely compete with teams like ocs.
ocs - a young team that could surprise some people. #21 is really good.
st. freds - an average team. could get past the 1st round with a lucky draw
ouachita - very unexperience team. will not do anything.
west monroe - dont no much about them but if they r like teams of past then wont go far.
ruston - maybe the best team out of the bunch. i no laz is a good player. thats all i no.
carrol - if they have a team. they r just out there 4 fun.
wossman - they scream cowboy alot and got beat by st. freds jv 9-1 and 8-0.
well thats as much as i no. and thats my outlook. now being so early in the season, things could turn around so ill probably have 2 do my before season outlook 2. if that doesnt scream great soccer then what does.

i think that's a pretty good outlook on those teams...just a few other observations...
west monroe- they are good enough to maybe make it past the first round but that's it..they have some good players on there...they have to be somewhat good if they tied magnet 1-1
ocs- they are also an average team...a few young players that are pretty good...one of their outside mids is pretty good along with number 21...their goalie is what hurts them...but they are an average team

i think you are overtalkin west monroe a bit...but i haven't seen them play a full game yet...jus bits and pieces at a tournament....they have the slowest forward on earth..don't know his name
i think people are underestimating st.fred's a little...they are consistently a team to be careful around and watch out for...they have beaten some solid competition this year ESA (#10 DIII) 4-2...deridder (#10 DII) 2-0 and tied a pretty solid texas team 1-1. played a tough pineville (ranked decently in DII) to a 6-4 without their sweeper (the score would have been drastically different with SF's sweeper uninjured) ... but also depends which team shows up to play sometimes. last year they beat west feliciana 4-0 in the first round to reach the 2nd against an unbelievable st.louis and lapira (needless to say lost that game but st.louis was the eventual state champion)

it doesnt matter what # or who i am. for all u no i dont even play for them. im just a faithful fan. i watched games and just saw kick ball which is a totally different sport then soccer. if u were to watch national teams or great club teams then u would see how soccer is played. its not a physical smash mouth type of "football" sport. its a game where u need 2 have some skill 2 play. and i mean dont get me wrong most of the players u have said r great players. and dont get me wrong river oaks is a good soccer school. but what it comes down to is that football players mite make up most of the team, but that still doesnt make them all better than everybody else. and i heard about "tempers" of some of the players on the team and it mite hurt the team now, but in a tight important game, it will hurt. and from watching ive noticed that even if certain players cant stand another player, (for some strange reason, im not saying everybody has 2 like everybody) but still when people step on the field, your not an individual anymore your a team. and if somebody messes up, let them deal w/ it and play the game like a team should play. i can tell there is some kind of hatred going on and if this team is going 2 go anywhere it should stop.

i think yall are over-rateing river oaks.. they have some players that bring them down.. having 30 something kids is not good to have like for ex. what do #13,16,17,18,20,25 have to do with helping the team.. yea ohk keep the bench warm and take up room for when sam herman or someone good comes off the field and then havein 4 or 5 girls on your team brings you down too girls competing vs. jackson prep i mean come on..i go to these games up here and write down some of the numbers of the guys no1 knows about or that dont do anything.. but if i did have to pick the best team from up north i would still have to go with river oaks cause they find a way to fight through haveing some of the worse players on there team that bring them down
