It is felt around the state, that Louisiana High School soccer has improved so much in the past couple of years. Through this improvement with many school adding new programs, and other students being able to experience what many are already experiencing, soccer has changed the lives of many. It is felt, that High School soccer can continue to do is in Louisiana, but in a different way. An all-star game/tournament can be added, which will allow the students to experience something they have never done before. They will be playing with some high school students, who they only know as their arch rival, a person they must beat in order to put the ball in the back the net. The game will draw these students together, allow them to meet new people, at the same time playing against the best Louisiana has too offer.
Across Louisiana, support has grown strong for an all-star game. Although, it has been denied in the past, we feel it’s the best interest of the players now, and for future players that it be started. It will advance our program here in Louisiana and bring it to the next step. Words could not express what it would do for the future of soccer, not only here in Louisiana, but else where also.
With an all-star game/tournament, it will give the players to strive for something new, to be the best of the best, to represent their region, not only their school. It will also keep younger kids interested in the sport. These young adults will learn that there are possibilities for them in soccer.
