i wish people from sps would stop talking on here b/c it does not matter what is said here but only what is done on the field. sps fans and players worry about the game. not other peoples opinions.

Home field advantage? Captain Shreve More big game competition? St. Paul's
I know that north Louisiana soccer has closed the gap, but there's still a gap. More top sides in the southern part of the state. Got to go with big game experience and with St. Paul's in a barn burner, 3-2.
So two great educational traditions clash in the semis- Jesuit and St. Ignatius Loyola versus St. Paul's and St. Jean Baptist de la Salle.
The winner should be the favorite in the finals.
Hope that the match is decided by the squads and not the whistle. Good luck to both sides.

as a Captain Shreve fan who saw the st. paul's v CL game I would have to say that the game will be very close. I think the st. paul's keeper will be hard to beat. Even with the poor field conditions (muddy)he was able to get good position and not give up second chance opportunities. Shreve 1 St. Paul's 0

as a player who got put out of the playoffs by the captian shrev team i would have to say that although i think that st.pauls is the better team of they cannot stop the very quick counter attack of captian shrev then they will lose the game. i believe they can so my prediction is st.pauls 2-0.

philwill... Shreve has had big game experience: Comeaux(beat Lafayette) we beat them twice Magnet( in the quarters) 1-1 lost in PK shootout-won 3-1 Lafayette(State Champs) 0-1 lost in PK shootput-allowed 1 goal St.Louis(State Champ) 1-0 beat in semis of St.Louis tourney 3-1 Jesuit 0-1 lost Showcase Should be a great game Shreve 2-1...defense plays tough & physical....Wimer seals thew deal late

Shreve lost to Jesuit 3-0 in Showcase. Shreve fans are right about only losing one game in regulation time and that was to Jesuit. I think Shreve is a very dangerous team, especially if you take them lightly.
also, philwil.......if St. Paul and Jesuit make it to the semis and St.P manages to beat Jesuit, they aren't the favorite, especially if the defending champ is still sitting on the other side of the bracket and is still alive.

people talk about shreve's goally like he's some kind of professional... for him to look that good must meen there is something wrong with the defence. Shreve's never been against attackers from St.Paul's should be interesting... I think there will be alot of shots on goal and in the end i see StP 2-0

Shreve defense does get the job done, but every defense will mess up and Jermey is almost always there to clean it up. I dont think any foward stands a chance going up against jermey in the air he has the body of a football player and the speed and agility of a gymnist. He is one of the best goalies Ive seen around.

If stps plays to the top game i think they can defeat shreve easily(lack for a better term) or convincingly sounds better. tremendous keeper, and great attack, i see stp 3-1

Quote: people talk about shreve's goally like he's some kind of professional... for him to look that good must meen there is something wrong with the defence.
Just the opposite.
The defense is inspired by the presence of their goalie behind them. He doesn't sit back and hug his line... chip one over the defense and he will be there to sweep it away. He is faster than any forward he will face this year. If a defender does not make a good challenge, at least he knows that whoever beat him still has to go one on one with that monster back there!
Wimer and Beck are great leaders in the back who communicate with the other players and bring alot of heart and passion to the pitch.
Last year a Shreveport club team won the first state championship for this area, can the Gators continue the "trend"?
Geaux Gators!

These two defenses and keepers are too good. No one scores in this one, Shreve wins in PKs. Despite the lack of scoring, it is going to be an exciting game with lots of end to end action.

Saint Paul's should not be tired they will get a good night's rest and be completely refreshed... Once they get used to the terf they have never seen before. it will be a very good game to watch... but it looks like st pauls will be leaving tuesday night with a semi-final spot.....

personally i think it is going to be a good game nonetheless im going to have to prefer shreve to win this game being a shreveport resident but it will be a extoardinary game to watch if both teams bring there "A" game tuesday plus a 5 hour drive may have some factor for the st. pauls players maybe

Don't misunderstand me Italy, I want Shreve to win but I think you are wrong about the drive for St. Pauls. First of all they are coming up today and will have a practice at Indy tomorrow morning. I think they will be well rested.
I also agree it should be an excellent game if both teams bring their "A" game. It will be an exciting night of soccer in Shreveport.
Good luck to both teams, but a little more luck to Shreve.
GO GATORS ! ! !

St. Pauls 1 Shreve 0
decided in PK shootout... both defenses and keepers are outstanding. This prediction of course barring the weather. If the conditions are wet and sloppy, there might be a little more scoring.

2-0 in favor of St Paul's Wolves Goals by Frank the Tank and Matt. S. Wolves have one weakness - right fullback. Milton outshines Wimer.
