E.D.White Vs Newman game report.
The game of E.D.White Vs Newman was the usual battle between defense and offense. Newman had possession of the ball and dominated in the first half. Despite the onslaught E.D.White defense stayed organized, bending under the strain without breaking. The only goal of the game was scored in the first half after Newman executed a perfect corner kick and headed the ball into the net. Then, a few minutes later E.D.White was given a penalty kick when a Newman defender tackled down a player inside the 18’s. Unfortunately, the kicker hit the crossbar. This was the turning point of the game. In the second half E.D.White offense came to life and launched a series of counter-attacks giving themselves a few opportunities to tie up the game. Breakaway from Michelle Waguespack kept Newman defenders on their toes. Despite Newman possession of the ball the game was still too close to call. In the end, their domination at mid-field allowed them to keep the advantage until the final whistle. My congratulation to Newman for this is a very well balanced team whose versatility allows them to play any kind opponents. My hat off to E.D.white whose girls gave everything they had without ever being intimidated by a technically superior team.

I must admit, as we move into the finals I've very disappointed in this thread. The D1 and D2 bracket threads are up to page 5. Yet the D3 thread is still on it's first! I've had some great conversations the last few years in D2 but Redemptorist will return to D3 next season and hope there will be more folks getting into the conversations.
