St. Joe's: Mallory Hitt, Kim Maggio, Shannon Berryhill, Kristin Robison (Keeper), Laurel Fontenot, Stephanie Sander
BRHS: Carolyn Danka, Elizabeth Danka, Mallory Hodges, Sarah Benson, Kate (#6), Kelly (#12 maybe?)
St. Amant: Stacy Luquette (Keeper), Sweeper, don't know name or number. Probably quite a few others (#26 looked good), but none that stood out.
Tara: Lisa Kaldahkan (sp?)
Woodlawn: Valerie Split-Log (Keeper)

A couple of these Keepers (the best of the lot is playing sweeper for her team) are still around in the playoffs due in large part to having outstanding defenses in front of them, sweeping away many threats before they materialize. I would like to know from both 415 & geewhiz which of these players that you selected for district honors would have been selected if they had played for Central, Tara, Walker, or Woodlawn. Everyone's star shines a little brighter when they play for winner. Certainly Benson, Dupuis, Cronin, and a few of the others are worthy of the honors, and I'm quite sure there were players from the "lower 4 schools" in the district that would have garnered consideration if they had attended BRHS. That the way it goes in life, you sometimes reap the benefits that are (maybe) undeserved, because your in the right place at the right time. A freshman to keep an eye on in the future is Caitlin Carter for BRHS.

It's always fun to speculate this and that and what better speculation than to unoffically pick an all star team. It is a known fact that the more you know about its team and players the more biased you become. I would never attempt to pick a team for fear that MY bias would be evident to all.
Shortly when the official team is announced and the speculation is over I believe the players who deserve to be on the team will be there. Being on a winning team is a good thing but heart and talent will surface in the stangest of places and I believe that District 4 coaches know the game well enough to pick the best players no matter the team record.

Who is Lisa from Tara? The Keeper or Sweeper?

Thought the mid was the girl who signed with LA Tech last week. Kasey? Not sure on name.

Jones is very good. Didn't have much help, besides the Stopper.

Are those the only possibles? I believe they could add in Allison Hawkins maybe... Carolyn Danka- One of the better, if not the best defensive player in our district. Can hold the defense down at the worst of times and is one tough player. Won't be surprised if she gets Defensive MVP. Elizabeth Danka- A good playmaker, and a teamleader being one of only two seniors. Mallory Hodges- My senior! Tears up the defense like a beast. Plays her heart out every game no matter who is playing. I would like to see her at goalie, though. Sarah Benson- An awesome striker, leading goal scorer, and possibly the best player that I have seen. She will be an excellent senior next year and will lead her young team to yet another successful season. Offensive MVP? Kate Cronin- Another outstanding fieldplayer. Only a sophomore to boot. She has really impressed me and I knew she was a great player ever since I saw her play her first game as a freshman. Kelly Gambrelle-(#12) I think the name is spelled wrong, but oh well, copy and pasted. Speedy, right wing who puts heart and body into every game. Doesn't back down to nobody and is afraid of nothing. Excellent playmaker and shooter. Allison Hawkins- Not mentioned, but I would like to put a word in... The other great wing who has demonstrated that she can play, period. Only a sophomore with lots of potential. I would not look down at her in upcoming seasons. Sorry, had to put that in.

Your objectivity is unique...... I think it's called "hero worship" which is fine and dandy but not as a basis to select a team. Since your all star team consists of players from only one team it actually diminishes those players in the eyes of whomever reads your post. Would any other players in Dist 4 make your all star team or is it a sweep for BRHS?

I'm glad there had been such a great response on here because I am beginning to realize how non-obervant I am of talented player on the field (regardless of the overall talent of the team I personally still have trouble remembering the "star" players.) If given a roster of each team , I think most of these girls would have been chosen, because they are all certainly deserving. Hopefully they (and and a few more less obvious talents) will all be recognized for their hard work when the all-district teams come out.

This is definitely not my picks for my all-star team, better yet a brief description of each of these girls. SInce my information and knowledge of other teams are minimal I will stay out of picking my all-star team. Sorry for any misunderstandings, but I don't think people will think less of them because I said what I thought.

Seems like we both misread one another, BRHSSOCCER14. I never meant to imply that your picks would be diminished as players but only that as an assessment of being your selections. If someone picked a team based on only players from one team then who could take their picks seriously?
I wish BRHS all the luck in the world as I would love to see the eventual D-I champion a Dist 4 team. Good luck with Comeaux.... BRHS will need it on a hostile field. I see no favorite but two equal teams. Home field advantage to Comeaux..... overall skill to BRHS.
Your quote on your threads is excellent!

OK. I see where you are coming from now. I hope no one thinks that would be my team, as it would not. I simply just wanted to put a brief description of the players I have seen and the stats that I have access to.
Are you talking about "...to the world, you might be one person, but to one person, you might be the world!"? Out of all the places I visit (including here, 8) you are the only person to notice it, if that is what you are talking about. Thanks!

The speculation and guesswork concerning the All District team is now no longer necessary as it has been posted. Go to LAprepSoccer.com and click on Girls All District and scroll down to Dist 4.
Congratulations to all the ladies...great job!

Great!! Nice to see the coaches recognize some of the players who didn't have the advantage of playing on a State semi-finalist team as being someone they would have play for them. CONGRATULATION to all of you. Finally that Extra running, dribbling a round the house, etc., has paid off by the coaches recognizing you as being amoung the elite in the area. It should give others someone to look up to and try to emulate your hard work.
