2-0 explained in D1 playoff bracket thread... close game 2nd goal scored in last minute by Sarah Benson. First goal scored by Keli Gambrell or Kate Cronin. Both are good.

None at all? I wouldn't cancel BRHS out of the final on next weekend just yet. They are a little better than expected and this upcoming match tomorrow should be one of the best games all year. Good luck to both teams tomorrow.

MCA 3 BRHS 2
Youth, inexperience, and being out-coached causes BRHS to lose in a well faught game. Just a prediction

I agree with you, except for the out-coaching part. MCA has been playing consistant and they have sooo much talent, which has nothing to do with their coaching. I think MCA will take this one, but not without BRHS giving a good fight. However, if MCA scores early(within 10 minutes), I predict 3-0, if not I predict MCA by 2-0 or 3-1.

BRHS has been playing incredible. I think they are just playing to well to get beat this Friday. BRHS: 2 MCA: 1 goals by Keli G. and Sarah B. for BRHS After BRHS played Caddo Magnet, I was one of the first people to say how I thought BRHS had peaked at the wrong time, and that they would need to find something in themselves to get back the game they had during district play. From what I have heard about the Comeaux game, the BRHS girls have done just that, so I take this opportunity to retract my previous statements. As an SJA player, I've had the opportunity to play MCA early in the season, and BRHS in district play, and I really feel that the Bulldog's strength at defense, and ability capitalizing on their opportunities on the goal are enough to pull out the win. If the girls put everything they have on the field tonight and every player gives 100% they will win this game. BRHS's biggest strength is the fact that they have a few "star players", but all 11 starters have incredible talent as well as many of the girls on the bench. IMHO, if they can top MCA tonight, BRHS will win state. Good luck tonight girls! Even to have district 4 represented in the semi's says so much for the quality of our district, and hopefully your fellow district teams will come out to show support. I've talked to St. Joe's, St. Amant, and Woodlawn player and coaches who are all coming out to cheer for you!

MCA 3 BRHS 2 Youth, inexperience, and being out-coached causes BRHS to lose in a well faught game. Just a prediction i disagree with the out-coached part. brhs coach is very good and has over 300 wins and plenty of state championships

please expand on when these state cahmpionships occurred. I looked back thru 1997 and could not find any championships for BRHS girls.

That is because they haven't won state since '95. They also won in '94. It has been too long without a championship for the girls. Who knows? This just might be their year. They have been in the semis since then, though. Thanks 415, will you be at the game? I will be ball-boying.... I will be the shorter one, I don't know what side I will be on.
