I realize it depends on who the two teams will be but is the pecking order established as to what school will get the game? For example, if BRHS beats MC and Lafayette beats Mandy have the powers to be decided the various sceanario's or is it simple...... like the highest ranked team remaining?

The state finals are played at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans on Saturday, Feb. 26. Girls Division I plays first followed by Boys Division I regardless of what teams are playing.

Now the fun really begins. Having seen MCA last night and LHS only early in the season, I tend to lean towards MCA. While this is probably the kiss of death for them since I generally pick wrong, with the way they handled BRHS last night, if that is there normal game, Lafayette will have their hands full. Plus MCA will have the slight advantage of it being a home game for MCA 9or do they play somewhere else in the city). I'm looking forward to this game.

Hey, the whitefob.....don't let your heart rule your brain! Mt. Carmel has one of the best teams ever assembled. It will be 5-0 on Saturday!

Sometimes the heart MUST rule the brain. If that wasn't true then we could pick a winner based on a number of things and never have to line up and play ball. I have watched both Lafayette and MC and I agree that MC is an awesome team but Lafayette is no pretender. Throw out their earlier meeting. This is the one that counts. I would not bet against MC but it would surprise me to no end if they can put up 5 points on Lafayette's defense. Saying that, I will also admit that I never envisioned their (MC) dismantlement of BRHS.

LAFAYETTE - as a player on the Mandeville team, all I can say is WOW.
Y'all have definately got what it takes to do it this year. You play great team ball and most of all you are a CLASSY group of girls. Everyone is going to over look you guys because you're playing Mt. Carmel. Who cares what they say... if you play with the heart and determination you played with against us, y'all have a great chance.
We all wish you the best of luck and know that we support y'all 100% and we hope you guys do it this year! Good Luck Lions!

:)Thanks, Becks123, for the kind words and the support! The Mandeville team is definately the best team we have met so far this year, and you played a clean game, even when you were losing. That shows a lot of class. Good luck for next year (except, of course, when you play Lafayette High).

5-0..thats a bit extreme for a final game. mt carmel couldn't even pull a 5-0 defeat in the semis, much less the finals.

Whitefob....dont let your imagination rule your brain. 5-0! Come on now. I have seen both of these teams play and couldnt not imagine that score. Both of these teams are skilled, granted LHS is the underdog. It will be interesting, i say 1-0 win for LHS early in the game Peace Whitefob....Peace

I agree with thewhitefob, 5-0 is a little extreme and they didn't roll-over BRHS however you read the score. BRHS had a fighting chance to the end. I don't think it will be 5-0, it is going to be much closer than that. Are you a Mt. Carmel player? Because that is the only reason why I think you can think that. Oh, and, you think it is the best team EVER assembled? You haven't been around soccer long have you? They are good, but not the best ever.

Look at UPSIDEDOWN'S past posts! He/she has no ties to any team. I'll bet the only purpose for this last post is to stir up ill feelings.
LET THE GIRLS PLAY! TAKE THE TRASH TALKING TO ANOTHER SPORTS FORUM.
The players for both teams have played against each other and beside each other on ODP teams for many years with a proper competitive attitude.
Here's to an exciting state final soccer match-up! Good luck to both teams.

Hey Toepoke... Why do you think I'm trying to cause trouble?? I expressed an opinon, that's all. The Cubs are great and you need to accept that! You'll see Saturday!
Hey brhssoccer... You should know better than most that this Mt. Carmel team is on e that people will talk about for a long time!

Does MCA use Tad G Stadium as their regular home field during the season?

THREE MISTAKES ONLY TWO APOLOGIES!
Here is the full story that an earlier post by Fan007 refers to as do several others contributed by BRHS supporters. Taken from another sports forum.
730.2. Yes you're right by , 2/12/05 19:52 ET Re: fhs vs. mt. carmel by , 2/12/05 As I was taking the picture it crossed my mind not to but then I recalled a post that read how FHS was going to "b**** slap" us and I clicked the shutter. On second thought I should not have taken the picture. Real nice game bulldogs! We should've had a chance to meet in the finals. We felt that way last year.

730.2.1. hmmm...true by , 2/12/05 20:06 ET Re: fhs vs. mt. carmel by , 2/12/05 yeah, whoever wrote that post is completely wrong...mt. carmel is an excellent team who went out there and took it to fontainebleau, they definitely deserved to win...good luck to them at state...in my opinion they are the best team left in final four Now BRHS used this to get up for the game and I can understand that but to keep spreading this incident is unacceptable. Unless the CIA was present, NOBODY from BRHS has seen the picture and it was definitely not emailed to the BRHS coach. I have the pictures. A parent from BRHS changed the finger symbol used to indicate #1 to an ugly gesture.
As you see this, all took place right after the game and apologies were given by FHS and MCA. There is only one party who has not owned up to a mistake, which occurred when competitive feelings were involved.

if this person has the pictures how did a brhs parent get a hold of them? doesn't sound right to me if first you say that it wasn't emailed and you have the pictures then how do you explain how a brhs parent get a hold of them.
