Now that the final team from this district has been eliminated, when are they going to post the All-District Team? If anyone already knows, please post. I am curious how a certain "Dangerous" player (Squarepeg, soccem, blockem and PK) was viewed by the Coaches that elect the team. By the way CHSNI, congrats on making it as far as you did. You represented the District very well.

Well, the all distict results are in: From ESA: First Team: Junior Lillian Guidry and Sophomore Sophie Dardant. Lillian Guidry has made first team all-distict since a Freshman when she was only 13 years old and has been a starter since 7th grade. Is currently considering verbal commitment to Division I school though this has no official implication because she is a junior. Sophie Dardant is similarly blessed and is considering Division I prospect, as well.
Daniel Honore was choosen MVP. I am surprised and disagree. Allison Hollier named defensive MVP: Absolutely well deserved.
But apparently no team in the district or division could match Neuman: boys or girls.
ESA's season began with a big disappointment when last years all acadiana selection, Senior Issabell Tutwiller, tore her ACL in warmups the day of the very first game. ESA's plans for a mulidemensional attack were displaced. There was no one to fill the void. Though Guidry and Dardant did all they could, when you only have only three or four real possession players on your team, your defense assumes greater responsibility and this can be overwhelming as it became at times during some games. ESA looses two starting seniors: Munson and Tutewiler. They will have many young, freshman and eighth grade players next year who have plenty of select experience. It will be interesting to see how they perform next year.
