Great picks. I agree with all of the MVP's and had a pretty good idea Ms. Benson would be overall. Offensive MVP was a given, I wasn't too sure abut Defensive MVP at first, but I was correct in thinking Caroline would be Defensive MVP. No one even mentioned Allison Hawkins being All-District in the other thread and I knew she had to make it in at least 2nd team. Keli Gambrelle was a given, I knew she was going to make it easy. Shannon is a great player, I saw her play against BRHS. Kim Maggio was a given, I bet Mike Maggio is proud. I think I know who Elise is, but I'm not too sure, but if it is the one I am thinking about, then that was a given. The only other one I know on First Team is Lana Ashford, who basically kept Tara close in most games.
Mallory made it, no surprise. Amy wasn't mentioned earlier, but she is better than everyone gives her credit for. Caitlin, as a freshman, made second team, which is no small task. All good picks from St. Joseph's. I knew Frentress would make it from Woodlawn and Elizabeth from Tara. ~My comments
Congrats to all who made both teams and I am looking forward to seeing All Metro.

Great choices but I thought Sam from St. Amant would have made it.

Just to add to my comment, in 11 years of soccer I don't believe I've ever seen a more unselfish player than Sarah Benson.

I am also pretty stunned at why Sam (Dupuis??? or am I thinking about someone else) didn't make a team, AT LEAST 2nd team. I was expecting her to make 1st team.
Sometimes I think she is too unselfish. Sometimes the fans get upset when she passes it off. You sound like either you just got into soccer 11 years ago, or more likely, a player that is about 16/17 years old. PM (Private Message) me telling me who you are maybe?

According to some of the coaches, the dividing line between 1st and 2nd team was extremly thin. That may explain someone being on the first team or not this year. All these youg ladies deserve applause for their efforts this year. The four Keepers were either Freshman or Sophmores, which will make this position tightly contested for the next coule of years.

i know sam very personally, we actually play brsc together, and the main reason she didn't make it is because of her attitude to her coach, etc. she knows it, but i doubt she cares because she has already signed with ULM. shes a great player, she'll do great there.

Sam Dupuis was a great high school player. She will be a great college player. I don't know St. Amant's coach and will not pretend like I do, but hopefully she gets along with her new coach. Good luck to her, as I am sure she will be great.

i also know sam very well and her attitude is only because of her coach. she was the leader for st.amant this season and she has had one of the most positive attitudes on the st.amant team. the last game things happened that were blammed on her because she had problems in the past with her coach and her coach didnt even go to the dist. voting!
