Where's the controversy? No comments after three days??? The D1, D3 thread has three pages of attacks and rebuttals, while this one is just ho-hum. I'd stir up some stuff about Tioga being 0-9 and getting so many on the team, but I doubt anyone up there even has a computer, so it would be pointless.

Hey Mung, Congratulations to Randy Miller on being selected Cenla Coach of the Year. ASH was probably to the most improved team in Central Louisiana.
Looking at the all-cenla, the Town Talk selected 4 ASH players, 4 Menard players, 2 Bolton players, 1 DeRidder player and 1 Leesville player.
Crossroads-soccer.com selected 3 ASH players, 4 Bolton players and 2 DeRidder players. In total, 8 are the same. Which one do you believe is the most accurate? Is there any controversy with no Pineville and no Tioga selections on Town Talk all-cenla?

Not really, though Laura Ford from Pineville should have made the cut. Tioga has greatly improved, but still was overrepresented on the all-district team, if you look at the actual best talent in the district. The Town Talk had players out of position, so who knows how they came up with that. They tend to drop individuals in from wherever they sell papers. At least they got Katherine Peters right. She ran circles around ASH and deserves to go to the next level.
As to the Crossroads deal, you have to wonder how they got theirs too. They tend to promote players who play on their rec teams, which would be how they came up with the Deridder girls, despite not having seen them, except maybe in the Rebel Cup tourney. They do a fantastic job with the rec leagues, which has greatly improved soccer in cenla, so they're easily forgiven for a little hubris.
Good luck next year to Menard. You should enjoy having Bolton in District. It should create some healthy local competition. I'm disappointed to lose them, as we will have to start playing on Saturdays with the new Southwestern portion of our district(Leesville, Deridder & Sam Houston).
