Not a very nice welcome to Div I. Is St Amant that much stronger or is Dutchtown still trying to find their way with out Breaux and Bethay?

I watched them dominate ASH 5-1 in last years playoffs, and watched them in the Rebel Cup beat ASH 1-0 on an own goal off the stopper's head. They truly miss the two collegiate players, both individually, and in how they made the other girls better. Of course, it's early yet. I'm sure they'll put it together by the end of the season.

Give them time, they are still trying to find their own identity as a team............ as noted in the 2-0 victory over Woodlawn last night.

Judging from the supposed talent level of WHS and Dutchtown That isn't very encouraging. Dutchtown has 11 BRSC players while Woodlawn has only 3, with about 3 other players that play recreationally for Baton Rouge. Yes they may need time to find an 'Identify' but if Woodlawn could have found someon to walk a ball into an empty net in the first half on Tuesday night the outcome may have been different, leaving D'town with two losses instead of 1, and two difficult games ahead of them before they finish the first tour of the district. Coach Anant thinks it is an Identity thing also. They had better find it fast, Baton Rouge High isn't going to wait too long on Saturday. Dutchtown has great speed out on the wings, but lacks a way to utilize it. Both goals were deserved in the win at Woodlawn especially the first. Randi Young blew past the defender down the left side and hit the far side netting. Still think they relied two heavily on a couple of players for too long. Now it's time to find someone else tostep up to the plate.
