Anyone have predictions on what the outcome will be in the Lafayette vs. Acadiana game tonight?

This game will probably be 0 - 0 at the end of regulation, 2 O.T.'s and a shootout. Two very good defenses and mediocre offenses. Too close to call.......................

Almost right impressive, 1 overtime was all it took for Acadiana!
Final Score: Lafayette 0, Acadiana 1(OT)
Jessica Verret scored with about 7:30 left in the 1st overtime.

These are the kind of games true soccer fans wish to see, tight matches with teams having their chances. How was the weather for the game? Early games in BR were played in a cold drizzle - light rain. Field conditions did not effected the outcomes, was it the same there?

I have seen Lafayette play 3 times this year and they struggled in all those games in the final third. They have the talent, speed, and strength but they need to be taught how to break a team down. They are settling for 25 yard shots instead of breakaways. She is a good coach but that must be addressed soon.

bungee - you are correct, Lady Lions are struggling.....But it's better to struggle early in the season than in the playoffs - State is the BIG picture, not district. They've got the exact same players as last year plus incoming freshmen. They also struggled at times last year early on, didn't really start stroking until after xmas. I predict they will do the same this year.
