I heard from a friend that Sam Houston might have some players named to State team, is it too soon to ask who has been nominated?

All State nominations are not even solicited until the conclusion of the playoffs for all divisions. The selections are announced at the annual meeting at the end of March.

This pre-playoff poll shows the coaches are pretty right on in assessment of teams. The 4 semi-finalists are all in the top five, 7 of 8 quarterfinalists were in the top 10. Perhaps the LHSAA should consider seeding from this poll.

Mung, this holds true in Division I and Division III as well. In Div I, 3 of the 4 sem-finalists come from top 5 (Barbe #10) and 6 of 8 quarterfinalists came from the top 10. In Division III, The 4 semi-finalists come from the top 5, and 6 of the 8 quarterfinalists come from the top 10. I agree that the LHSAA should be able to correctly seed from all 3 final top 10 polls.
