Anybody have the score? I know it should be about time for it to be over.

How was the game though? The score reflects a close game, but was it truly a close game, or was one team just off a bit in finding the back of the net?

It was a very good game, however, Sam Houston shot on goal about 2-1. Just had trouble finding the net. They also had their first goal pulled back. Sam Houston pretty much controlled the game but Parkway came back hard the whole game. Sam Houston showed they have more than one girl who can score. This was a great game and Parkway should be well respected.

Now for an unbiased opinion of the game (I don't think Sam Houston controlled the game like megaphoneman) I did not know anything about Parkway till this afternoon but left this game very impressed. They have a forward (couldn't tell the numbers since the uniform was black with red numbers-too hard to see) that had a good leg and was at least 5' 11". Parkway also has a sweeper that was quite good and a mid field with pink cleats that both impressed me. The keeper is tall and made some good saves on the Broncos. The game was as even as a 1-1 score, 4 OT game would suggest. (Why the game went 2- 10's and then 2- 5 minutes I guess we will debate on another thread). The game was very even comparing player to player (Erica to Parkway's forward) Whitney to Parkway's pink cleats and Ash to their keeper. The difference in this game??? Parkway had no answer to the ability of Whitney's throw ins to reach the net. Every time the ball went out of bounds on the Bronco's half, the throw ins then became a scoring threat. Whitney's a beast on throw ins. And of course the keeper. Parway moved the ball well from 50 to 18 but Ashley stopped everything they shot on her except for a bobble in the box on a great save. I haven't seen a better keeper in Div II that Sam Houston's Ashley Rudd. Everyball she had she put past the midline into an offense threat.
All in all one of the better games I have seen in SW LA this year and Parkway should be proud of the way they played. Sam Houston is without a doubt the best team the state of Louisiana has not heard about. Quiet all year and on a roll. Should be a great game EA vs Sam Houston. I just wish it was here in SW LA so I could see it!!! Good luck Broncos.
