If Ursuline were the leading criteria and if i were a betting man, my money would be on SSA, who beat Ursuline twice. SSA has many potential scorers as seen in all of their games. Vandy relies too heavily on #14 and #4.
#14 is tall and solid, also very fast, with great ball skills, and extremely aggressive. What every team would like 11+ of. Although her use of her elbows are very questionable -- I've seen many of her opponents take elbows to the face, throat, and collar bones. Fortuante for her, she doesn't get called often much less carded.

If I remember correctly, SSA only beat Ursuline 1-0 the first time and the second time 6-0. Vandebilt didn't need to play them twice to beat them 6-0, they did it the first time. Also since I am a betting woman, I advise you to change your bet to Vandebilt. (Look at the poll) Yes, #14 is an agressive player and thats ok because this is soccer not ballet. Hence your name "aimlo" I assume you have no problem with cheap shots.

i think i will have to go with adrenalin on this one...it took VCH only one time to beat Ursuline and they did it when it counts...i woudl have to say that VCH is gunna go all the way this year not only because of their outstanding forward number 14 but their whoel team works well together and pulls together when its needed....GO Terriers ...yall have a great shot at STATE LADIES !

Tough for us as the way the brackets are this year - Neville would have to beat #2 St Thomas More, if that fortunate, go to #1 St Scholastica and if by shear luck and determination win there, then have to go to Houma to face the #3 Vandelbilt Cathlolic or to Sam Houston/East Ascension (I have not seen any of those 3 teams play so can not make an honest judement to the winners) team at their home field. This is tough when 3 of the top 4 teams in the state are on the same side of the bracket - maybe one day soccer will get big enough in Louisiana for the LHSAA to pay attention to and use seedings, rankings, etc to help honestly set up a bracket instead of pickign the field before the season ever starts so they don't have to do anything with soccer until next year.

Adrenalin - at least you acknowledge that Vandy's 14 delivers cheap shots.
Don't you know where the best location to aim when taking a shot. If you aim high, you have a greater chance of missing the shot than is you "aimlo." How do you take a cheap shot at someone by aiming low? You gonna kick me in the leg? Its soccer, that is part of the game. But to have someone intentionally come at me leading with an elbow to my face or throat, should be a red card.

First of all i didn't ackmowledge it, and thanks for clearing that up for me, but aiming low isn't always the best soultion against a great keeper.

According to the poll the St. Scholastica and STM game is moot.

I feel your pain TigerDad. EA finished 2nd in district to Dutchtown last year. The way the brackets were drawn up, we had to face another 2nd in the first round. That 2nd just happened to be St. Scholastica, which finished 2nd in district to state champ Sacred Heart. But, as bad a draw as we had last year, this year we ended up in a pretty good spot.

Good Luck megali1 -hope you do well in the game and hold your head high no matter the outcome. We did not have a girl upset in our loss to St Thomas More because they were the better team that night. GOod Luck to all and see you next year!
