I've read here that the all-district teams are picked, and some schools have announced to the players who is on what team. How does one find out about the all-district teams? Where and when are they announced?

I would guess the coaches will put them out as they see fit. I would imagine at some point the Advocate will post them in the paper. Weren't in this past Sunday's edition.

Up here the coaches meet after district play ends, and before the playoffs, and choose the all-district teams. They(the individual coaches) know who made it on their teams, but don't tell until all teams are out of the playoffs, which for D2D2 is usually the second round. They allow the other coaches to tell their players, and the newspaper up here puts it out 2-3 months later, along with the basketball all-district info, after everyone has forgotten about it. I suspect the Advocate is quicker.

I like the fact that in some areas the All District Team is picked before the playoffs. That way the team is selected based on what has happened within the district rather than who goes farthest in the playoffs.

BR area 4A district met the day after district play ends. Think most do pretty much likwise. All-District is for district purposes and not playoffs, plus timing allows coaches to have info still relatively fresh in their minds,

From Redemptorist Kayce Schultz (forward/Mid Field) should make first team all-metro and Erin Gremillion (Defender/Sweeper) will be a solid second team.
I'd personally give first team to Erin but she's a Junior and I think Seniors get more of a nod. But I've seen here challenge many a good player and win the battle. She's fast and has great skills. Don't be surprised if she gets first team.
Both played with my daughter since they were six or seven so I've been watching them for a while. Both girls are talented Premier players. As posted previously, Kayce just signed with Northwestern LA and will be playing with her former team mate, All Conference Midfielder Natalie Waguespack.

We picked our teams a couple of weeks ago and now with the playoffs over I'm going to post the teams. We've had plenty of time for the coaches to tell their players and the picks have been sent to the Advocate, so I hope I'm not offending anyone by posting them here now.
