yes, chs and barbe should be a good matchup. Barbe has shown thier talent, same with comeaux- although- at times, chs seems to lose their head-the game against carencro for example-
the game went into double overtime and carencro took the game with a shootout...carencro played wesgate and lost-comeaux beat westgate 11-1....
its all about how the girls step into the game-this district is a crazy one, and has plenty of talent-
its a toss up-goodluck to both teams friday night

Wow have times changed..... Tonight is Acadiana vs Lafayette and not one word on this site about the game. Has the game turned into a one sided affair tilted towards Lafayette or is it just another game??

Maybe it's just a case of letting the feet on the field do the TALKING !!

I know it is a rivalry, but just another district game when it comes down to it. The picture the lions are keeping their focus on is the BIG PICTURE - the Championship game. All the talk about the polls and the big games are really good entertainment but not the focus. Both teams will be ready to battle tonight, you can count on it. There will also be a good battle over at Comeaux tonight, if the real Spartans Show up to play. Good luck to everyone and hope nobody gets injured. We've lost some good players this year in our district, we don't need anymore.

Hey BarbeDad What is the story? I understand that Barbe played an ineligible player in the win against Carencro. LHSAA ruled that it was an "administrative error" and Barbe received a fine only. No forfeit! Why does Barbe get "special" treatment? Was it not a administrative error that made the LHS boys forfet their play off game last year?

Wow if the above post is true "hometown/homecooking" has extending all the way down I-10 to Baton Rouge. The LHS boys got screwed by an ineligible asst coach/trainer not even a player.

I thought that the LHSAA had changed the rules on this, as a direct result of the LHS forfeit, so that students would no longer suffer due to errors on the part of the administration but rather the administration would be fined heavily. Correct me if I am wrong.

Correct me if I am wrong. If they did change the rule... little good it does for what should have been the boys state champs in Div I. Maybe the folks that may have changed the rule want to talk to some of last years parents. par for the course too little to late

BarbeDad is rather quiet when his team gets defeated....congrats Comeaux on a great win....that team always struggles on a typical high school field....however, on their field they are extremely tough....

Barbedad is never quiet....just got in late with the girls. A couple of things before we get to the game...... First to sockher....before you call out the Barbe Program get your facts straight. EVERYONE knows who I am and if you don't, my name is Brian 337-515-5887 and if you have any questions about the Barbe program you call me directly to get your facts straight. Barbe used an ELIGIBLE player not listed on the roster against Carencro. According to the LHSAA this is an administrative error and results in a fine. Barbe turned themselves in the morniing after the game and the player in question sat out until we received our ruling. No conspiracy theory or "special treatment". I will send you the exact ruling if you so desire. As for the game itself....... Barbe 0 Comeaux 1 Comeaux came out hard and played physical and earned the victory. I have said before Barbe does not play as well on the small traditional football size fields. This is the 4th year in a row we have lost at Comeaux. Congrats on a great win but it will be a different Barbe team you will see next month at the Barbe Complex. I had Comeaux to be 3rd in my predistrict rankings and have voted them in my top 10 early in the season. This is the Comeaux team I was expecting to see, not a team that loses 3-2 to Carencro. Great win Comeaux ladies and I hope to see the Spartans go deep in the playoffs.

No rule changes were enacted by LHSAA as a result of last year's LHS boys team coaching problem. If the same situation happened this year at any school, the penalty would be the same. I commennd Barbe for turning themselves in and accepting whatever penalty that LHSAA determined was necessary.

Great article on the Comeaux Girls. Good to see them get the recognition they deserve.

From my understanding of the rules. Players can be added to the Roster even after the game as ended if they are ELIGABLE... Think this is a rule change from last year, but I am not 100% sure on this so don't quote me...
