A verbal agreement is all that can take place till 2/7/07. That is the first day a soccer player can sign a letter of intent which actually pledges a recruit to a particular school. The verbal agreement between coach and player is the first step leading up to the official signing.

reccos and rivers are both right. See ncaa.org for the rules on verbal commitments. It is not binding. There have been players that have "changed their minds". Signing a National Letter of Intent is a legally binding document.
The college/university agrees to pay a certain of amount of money and the player agrees to play for the college/university for a one year period. The earliest signing for soccer is 2/07/07. An athlete must be registered with the National Clearinghouse (NCAA) to sign a National Letter of Intent. Only athletes receiving scholarship money sign a National Letter of Intent.

Klara does start for U-18 rage. When we have played them she has started. I read in The Advertiser she has commited to play at Centenary next year. First commitment I have heard so far this year. A verbal commitment is given with the understanding a National Letter of Intent will be signed on signing date. A player issues a verbal commitment to sign a National Letter of Intent when they are offered money to play. Three players from Terrebonne have comitted to Nicholls State in Thibodaux. They are Allyson Flynn (sweeper/stopper), Gillian McCarter (fullback and outside mid) and Kandice Champagne (forward). All three are 4 time all district players and should do OK at the next level. I know a couple are still being courted by other schools but I don't look for any of them to change thier mind. They like the coach at Nicholls and they are looking forward to staying together. They've been playing together since about U10 on the Houma Strykers club team.

The goals came early in the season. Hahnville defense has been a wall since.

Well because I've been out 6 months due to injuries. No one's a great feat when they come back from that long. And yes I may be a bit quick to judge, but also the purpose of this site is to have an opinion.

FHS has a pretty good backline, not many people get past them and even if they did they would have to face one of the best goalies in the state.. they also have some good players to come off the bench so there is not a good chance you will get past them!

Jordan Gauthier for STM is pretty good. She was def. a beast out there for the STM/Vanderbilt finals showdown last year. I have not gotton the chance to see her much this year. But I've heard she's doing quite well.
Anyone from Mt. Carmel or Caddo? I remember in the past 4 years of girls H.S. soccer that they were some pretty tough competitors in D1.
