"FHS beat Newman convincingly 2-0" is a bit of a stretch. Both goals were off of corner kicks, with one being an own goal. FHS' usual offensive barrage was negated by Newman's strong midfield play. Comparing SSA and FHS against one common opponent lacks merit and is unfair to both squads. Let their play on Friday allay any doubts. Best of luck to both teams .

Hmmm, I didn't think that many people would think SSA (5 compared to 2) would win, granted I am an FHS fan. SSA lost to Newman in PKs. FHS beat Newman convincingly 2-0. Granted that doesn't always mean anything, but I don't think enough people have seen both teams/played against both teams for it to actually be that lopsided in SSA's favor. Who has actually seen both teams? Any comments? While we look at same oppenant scores to give us an idea of how teams will do against one another, it always isn't possible. I believe soccer is one of the hardest sports to do this with, and have accuracy behind it. There are so many different elements to soccer that makes it very hard to do this. These are the reason I believe it is hard to do it. 1. Formations, some teams have problems with certain attacking formations, and each formation has its strength's and weaknesses. 2. A teams abilitily to take/defend set pieces is different. While when the goals may come just on set pieces, where as the other team is an execellent set piece defender. 3. Speed wise. Some teams have problems defending a faster forward. While other may have problems defending a good passing team, and not the long pass forward race on team. The list goes on and on... I use other results to help get an accurate estimate to, just wanted to through that out there though. I just believe that it is very hard to do in the sport of soccer.

FHS-SSA game has been postponed due to weather/field conditions until 25 January. Should be a good test for both teams just prior to playoffs.

Both teams should be in top form by then hopefully injuries won't get in the way between now and then.
