A loss is a loss. If the rules of a tournament state that you go directly to p.k.s to determine a winner then you should prepare for that eventuality and take your lumps if you don't. Last year 3 of Sacred Heart's 4 losses were from trny p.k.'s - one to Lafayette and 2 to Ms. teams. This year 2 of our 4 losses are in trny p.k.s And for the record, we beat MCA 3-0 earlier this year.

I called MCA and they game me one of the coaches number. He said that their record as of yesterday is 20 wins, 2 losses (including the shootout at the Lafayette tournament) and 1 tie. His comment was that the only record that counts is the playoff record anyway and where each team will be on 2/24.

Sat 20 Jan
St Scholastica (D2 #1) 2 - 1 Sacred Heart (D3 #1) Very competitive game from two very talented and well-coached teams.
Sacred Heart scored in first half off a well played corner kick.
SSA scored in second half when Michelle Duplantier volleyed in th equalizer in front of the net. Danielle Beatty scored the winning goal on a "frozen rope" shot from 25 yards out.
Both teams deserve credit for playing quality soccer til the final whistle.
