"Barbe also has a loss to Comeaux, a team that also beat Lafayette once." (from last weeks poll) Just a question but then how come Comeaux is not even in the top ten? Seems to me that both Comeaux and Acadiana should be in the top 10 with Com. in the top 5.

Yes, I am just asking because it seems to me that if Comeaux beat both Laf and Barbe that they should be ranked above them. I have nothing to do with Comeaux I was just wondering what the voters where thinking. Fhs gave his reason and it was interesting. Do the same paople that vote in D1 also vote in the other two?

uncsoccer, you are basing your comments on a one/two week issue. I am not a voter, but I can understand the voters. If the voters are locating at the entire season collectively, then that is why it is the way it is. Voters should take a look at non-district schedule plus district schedule. Yes the victories you mention by Comeaux should mean a lot, but still the entire season should weigh in. Besides the fact, always remember polls are just that polls. There will always be pros and cons, just look at college football, which for some unforeseen reason still lets a poll choose its national champion. Just be thankful that high school soccer doesn't.
It is nice to see that the bulk of the teams are agreed upon by the voters (not necessarily in the same order). The ballots for Div I are just about how I would expect, in other words the bulk of 1 through 7 pretty much solid, and the last 3 spots kind of up in the air (random votes).

Menard is a well coached, disciplined, quality team. I'm not saying they deserve more or less votes...but they are worth taking a look at because maybe, just maybe they will make some noise in the playoffs this year if the draw is favorable to them.
Best of luck.

I went to Teurlings website after seeing the post from northshorefan, just to clarify on their site they have us listed as Ouchita Catholic, it should read - Ouachita Christian. We played them in the Bolton tournament.

For the record, Sacred Heart is presently 15-4-2 overall and 3-0 in district. They play Newman again on thursday at the "Mound" uptown at 6:00. It should be another good game, as the previous two this year both ended in p.k.'s. They also travel across the lake this saturday to play SSA, their old district and division 4 foe. It is always a brutal affair but should be decent soccer.

Interesting that Alexandria is shown 5-10-1 and is 6-2 in district alone. Where do the stats come from?

The schedule and results thread must be wrong... I play for CHSNI and we played Mt. Carmel in the Lafayette High tournament... we tied them 1-1, but won 4-3 in a shoot out.

Do shootout losses in a tournament not count as a loss?
