Even more interesting Pompey, is that Sam Houston looks to be gunning for you. According to Tioga, they played JV in second half, basically conceding match, for 3rd seed that will play EA in the 2nd round, as opposed to 2nd seed that plays Neville. Interesting strategy. I was thinking the same thing when I saw the game summary post, Mung. Pompey, didn't y'all put Sam Houston out of the playoffs last year? Looking ahead? I would think so, but never count your chickens before they hatch. One thing we have leanrd, is never look ahead of your next opponent, no matter how far ahead everyone else wants to look there for you! Good luck to both EA and ASH this week.!

We had some upset girls in second half when they realized not all of the varsity was still on the field. We always play better in second half and the girls were pumped up to win, but I watched 3 girls shut down on the field when they realized the changes. I know there was no insult intended, PePe is a good coach, and the game was very physical. It was simple strategy, and Coach Walker said he would have done the same to rest his starters for the playoffs and not chance injuries. However, the girls have worked hard to get where they are and earn respect as a team, so the win was not as exciting to them as it could have been.

Good luck to all the teams in District 2. I hope everyone stays healthy and hopefully some will see the 2nd and 3rd games of playoff.
