Have to say...the teams I'm most looking forward to jumping up to D1 next season are St. Thomas More, St. Scholastica, and East Ascension.
They should add a great deal of competition to already competitive districts!

Based on various sources and bold assumptions on rankings will post: Dist. 3: 1. St. Thomas Moore 2. Morgan City 3. Opelousas 4. Beau Chene Dist. 7 1. St. Scholastica 2. Ursuline 3. Cabrini Dist. 6: 1. Vandebilt 2. Perhaps someone can correct/fill in the rest, so we can work on these playoff brackets.

Sam Houston at Tioga tonight will decide who gets second and who goes as a WC.

Sam Houston at Tioga tonight will decide who gets second and who goes as a WC. Why wildcard?? Top three are automatic. Would ASH leapfrog over the loser? If so, good luck to all, should be an exciting game.

If so, good luck to all, should be an exciting game. Pompey, the loser of SH v Tioga would be 8-4, and ASH plays Peabody, so they will probably be 8-4 also. So there will be a tie for 3rd. ASH won the away and lost the home game to both SH and Tioga, so that's tied, as is the score differential in those games. The third tiebreaker is goal differential in district, 3 max per game. I think SH has ASH beat on that, but with Tioga it's close, so the score of SH v. Tioga will matter as to who gets 3rd and who is a wildcard. Leesville and Pineville can be wildcards, but I hear Pineville is going to opt out again this year.

It is for seeding purposes in playoffs only, but the bottom line is like someone said on another thread. If you take care of business there's no problem, so the Lady Indians need to take care of business tonight.

Even more interesting Pompey, is that Sam Houston looks to be gunning for you. According to Tioga, they played JV in second half, basically conceding match, for 3rd seed that will play EA in the 2nd round, as opposed to 2nd seed that plays Neville. Interesting strategy.

All very interesting, but we're not even in the second round yet. Will be very nice to reach that round, but have small matter of a playoff team to get past before that.
Maybe not so much gunning for us, but rankings would suggest Neville a far harder prospect.

Yes, Yes, we tend to get ahead of ourselves sometimes. Good luck to your girls in the playoffs. Perhaps ASH will be sent to be your sacrifical WC lamb. It would certainly beat going to Neville, who crushed us last year.

Daughter #3 will play for ASH in 2011, I hope. She probably will continue to be a ball girl until then, as she loves that $5 icee and chip money, so I'll report the scores.
