If the qualifiers (for Division I) are set like other divisions currently, then there should be 2 automatic qualifiers from each district and 12 wildcards.
So most 3rd place teams will have a shot if they post sound district records...4th place teams will need to post exceptional records to qualify.
Should be more competitive than ever for some districts!!

I find it interesting that they switched these districts around:
07/08-08/09
DISTRICT 4 1. Catholic, P.C. 2. Redemptorist 3. University 4. West Feliciana
DISTRICT 5 1. Christian Life 2. Dunham 3. Episcopal 4. Parkview Baptist 5. Runnels
05/06-06/07
District 5 CHSPC Christian Life University Runnels
District 6 Redemptorist Episcopal Parkview Baptist West Feliciana Capitol AG
I guess they made the switch based on location in the city. Will make things interesting and I notice Capitol was not placed in a district even though they are trying to get a program going.
Also interesting is the removal of St. Amant and Dutchtown from the Baton Rouge district. I realize that it is probably a location thing but I think it might make things "easy" for BRHS. And I use "easy" in the lightest of terms because SJA has proven that they can compete.
All in all it looks like there will be some good match-ups.

The move of Menard and Bolton to a district that will require more long distance travel to the north is interesting. Before the district has always had these teams ( Menard and Bolton) traveling south and no more than an hour. Why the compass change and the increase in distance? No offense to those teams in the new district, but I don't think they will appreciate the long distance travel either.

Looks like Dist. 9 is the "Group of Death" in Division III. Why would #9 have 7 teams while #8 (another New Orleans district), has only 5?

Wonder why Div2 is the only Div to have 16 teams? Be nice for them to consider say a 24 team format with first place teams getting a bye. Perks the interest of more team to have a chance to get to playoffs. In a tough district, or anywhere, if you lose early, why play cause you're not going anywhere.
