Regarding the finals for Division I and III, years ago the School Principal’s voted on this matter and the Division I and Division III schools voted for it and the Division II schools voted against it. When it was first enacted in 2000-2001 the State Finals were played at Tad Gormley Stadium in City Park, and it was touted as a neutral site (LOL). The event drew a corporate sponsor and all gate proceeds were split between all of the teams that participated. I’m not sure how it works now but in the past that was the arrangement.
Division II declined to participate citing they only wanted to split the money between two teams and desired to use their respective schools as the location for the finals. In retrospect, I feel with the growing popularity of this Division I and III arrangement coupled with the recognition it brings to the teams, schools and player’s you may see Division II participating when voted on again.
I’m glad to see Shreveport get the finals but I’m not sure who’s going to watch the matches? Other than the love ones of those players, coaches on the pitch the drive is a bit far for the casual supporter. I feel Lafayette, Baton Rouge would have been a better location logistically and for attendance purposes. Oh well with that said it looks like the Shreveport folks are busting their rear ends to pull this off so we all need to support their efforts.
Good Luck to all teams

Thanks, a little background information helps understand the reasoning behind everything.

Brian Hall does the northwest louisiana high school site. He thought it would be nice to do something for the teams playing in Shreveport. Way above and beyond the call of duty and I want to thank him for it.
