Carencro 2 New Iberia 0
New Iberia didn't play to their full potential, and Carencro played well. Many bad calls.

Good Hope - 3 Ruston Jr. High - 1
Excellent match. Ruston took a 1-0 lead at high time, but Good Hope came back with three goals in the second half and was able to control play.

Carencro 2 New Iberia 0 New Iberia didn't play to their full potential, and Carencro played well. [glow=red,2,300] Many bad calls[/glow]. I guess I will again suggest that if you dont like the way the officials call the game then find the nearest officiating association and join. Please quit blaming the loss of a game on the refs. Here is the LHSAA web page for refs lhsaa.org/officials/associations/SoccerOfficials.htmThere is a shortage in all associations. I am sure the assignor will be happy to accept new and enthuastic people in their number.

Actually the poster said that the losing team didn't play to their potential. The comment was made in general in accordance to the game as I see it, not specific to either team.

Ben Franklin 2, Parkview Baptist 2 Parkview scored first on a header off a corner less than 10 mins in. Franklin's coach had warned them that Parkview would use their narrow field to their advantage on the corner, and they did. Franklin scored on a cross from the right corner by Izzy Durante to Melissa Barnes, and I think Franklin's next goal was on a similar play. 2-1 Franklin at the half. In the second half, after a yellow card on Franklin player, Parkview player got the ball on the left and sent a slow roller across with her left foot that just went in the right post to tie the score. Franklin player was called for obstruction in the box, but Parkview missed the penalty kick, thankfully, because the call was terrible. Lots of bad calls both way in this one (missed handballs on each team, phantom fouls, no calls on pushing, etc.) , so thankfully the game wasn't decided by them (though Franklin could have been called for a handball in the box-they shouldn't have been, but ref called others on lesser infractions). Franklin's coach is still experimenting with lineups until district schedule begins. Parkview has a good forward, but had all of Franklin's starters played longer, I expect the score would have been different (no offense to Parkview). I was not at the game (I am at least 230 miles away in WM) so maybe I am just misunderstanding your post.....but obstruction is an indirect free kick. Did the ref in that game call obstruction??? Or was a penalty kick given? Were you on the field to know that obstruction was the called (read are you a coach?)? I am just curious so please do not take this in the wrong way. Because if you were told it was obstruction.....as far as I know....that's not a penalty kick. It's an indirect free kick inside the 18yd box - yes that can happen. But...if you don't even know that obstruction is an indirect free kick....well.....you really....REALLY... ought stop complaining about refs until you learn the Laws of The Game. Don't get offended please. Just read the rules. And if I mistook your terminolgy of "penalty kick" to mean "indirect kick"....I am truly sorry. Thanks.

There were more fans at this game than at the Shreve/Magnet boys game on Monday night!!! Believe IT! Haha ....u will never walk alone.....Gerrard was a stud the other day versus OM...3-0 Liverpool ....unless they scored more after I left the tv

RE: Ben Franklin and Parkview,a penalty kick was given, not an indirect (I'm not too stupid to know the difference between those . There was no bumping and no pushing, the girls were running side by side, and my daughter, who is on the team, said they called obstruction on the Franklin defender (who was then yellow carded, but I believe that was for dissension). And I'm not complaining because Franklin didn't win. As I said, the officiating was bad for both sides. On another call, a Franklin midfielder fouled a Parkview player in the box. The ref placed the ball for a free kick outside of the box. Shouldn't THAT have been a penalty kick instead? Certainly the uncalled hand ball in the box should have been a penalty, but I understand the refs don't always see those. May be the first time that when an opposing team's fans yelled about a call, I could only look at them and nod my agreement. And that happened several times.

Now I can understand your frustration with the officiating...and you are right - when the opposing fans question a call in their favor - it's a bad night for the officials.
