12/10 Caddo Magnet 1 West Monroe 0
Frustrating night for Magnet's offense, tons of possession with only 1 goal to show for it. I commend West Monroe's effort, they played hard and were aggressive. I think I heard 4 whistles tonight...1 to start each half and 1 to end each half.

Neville - 6 Natch Central - 1
Was 5-1 at half and put in one more in the second with subs in. Natch Central played hard and #20 was an impressive player and never gave up in the midfield.

Ben Franklin 2, Parkview Baptist 2
Parkview scored first on a header off a corner less than 10 mins in. Franklin's coach had warned them that Parkview would use their narrow field to their advantage on the corner, and they did. Franklin scored on a cross from the right corner by Izzy Durante to Melissa Barnes, and I think Franklin's next goal was on a similar play. 2-1 Franklin at the half.
In the second half, after a yellow card on Franklin player, Parkview player got the ball on the left and sent a slow roller across with her left foot that just went in the right post to tie the score. Franklin player was called for obstruction in the box, but Parkview missed the penalty kick, thankfully, because the call was terrible. Lots of bad calls both way in this one (missed handballs on each team, phantom fouls, no calls on pushing, etc.) , so thankfully the game wasn't decided by them (though Franklin could have been called for a handball in the box-they shouldn't have been, but ref called others on lesser infractions).
Franklin's coach is still experimenting with lineups until district schedule begins. Parkview has a good forward, but had all of Franklin's starters played longer, I expect the score would have been different (no offense to Parkview).

St Charles really didnt have any real opportunities to score without their main forward, Lubin, in the game.

Lafayette beats Pineville (6-0) heard it was a very ugly game to watch. Lafayette played down to their competition, but came out with the win. Macie Andrus I believe scored 2 goals, and Maeve Brennan scored 1 goal. Not sure of the rest.

Acadiana-0 Comeaux-1
Not sure if Comeaux looked good or bad, not sure if Acadiana looked good or bad. Sure of one thing, the referee and AR's stopped and flipped a coin to make calls! Comeaux made good on a loose ball in the box about 4 min into the game. After that it was back and forth for the duration.
Comeaux looks like they have utilized to the best with what they have to work with, well done Adrianne. Acadiana, on the other hand is not there yet. EVery game so far has gotten slowly better, but not tonight, looked like just playing keep away till Comeaux put enough pressure to either steal the ball, or Acadiana gave it up with a bad pass. Either way, it was ugly. Simple basic soccer is just out of reach of Acadiana, wonder why? Very difficult to watch and be optimistic! High school soccer at its's best.

12/11 Fontainebleau 2 Mandeville 1
Mandeville scored first in the first half on a goal by Adrienne Boasso when the Fontainebleau sweeper fell, one on one with keeper, cleanly executed goal. Fontainebleau tied the game late in the second half with a header from freshman Casey Adkins, who killed Mandeville with the 50/50 balls. Then halfway through the first overtime, Kaley Blanton scored upper 90 from beyond the 18 to finish the scoring. In my opinion, the game was even with each team getting chances on goal. Fontainebleau clearly should have scored a few more goals, but shots were hit right to the keeper. The team still has some gelling to do and some people need to get back into the groove again, and then maybe Fontainebleau will return as the high-scoring powerhouse it always has been.
