If a player has received a 'hard' red card in a district game, will that player be allowed to play in the next district contest? Will he/she jeopardize the school's eligibility, and result of said contest? Whose responsibility is it, to report such a descrepancy?

Yes.....that player can play in the next district game. 2nd Red...school gets fined by LHSAA. 3rd Red...player is ineligible for the remainder of the season & school get fined.

Ejected player's coach/AD/school administrator is responsible for reporting to LHSAA. The form can be found at lhsaa.org under "FORMS" link, titled "Disqualification Form." Should be faxed to LHSAA within 24 hours of ejection. Wish I didn't have all this knowledge about this process!

Whether a player plays in the next match is at the discretion of the coach, that maybe where you got that notion. Some tounaments also have that in their rules.

Can someone point me to the rules on this issue? I don't see it in Article 18, apparently the soccer portion of LHSAA by-laws, etc. I did find the form, though it says you have 2 days to submit. Thanks.

It's in the LHSAA by-laws, regarding ejections in all sports. Won't be found in the soccer by-laws.
Will read similar to what brim dawkins posted above. It may reference that an ejected player sits once (1st red), school fined (2nd red), ineligible remainder of season (3rd red).
Not 100% about the sitting for the 1st red, I agree with duris that this is usually a school/coaching decision.

Thanks for the info. Our administration was already on top of the issue as it turns out.
