Who is left from final poll?
DI---1,4,6,9,9 and two unranked. DII--1,3,4 and 9 (playing semi-final matches now) DIII-1,2,3,5 and 6 and two unranked.
Overall...I would say that is pretty accurate polling for DII and DIII. For DI, perhaps the #9 and unranked teams were stronger than the voters thought?

Or maybe they haven't played anybody in the playoffs yet!

Not much love for District 5, which has two teams in final 8. No matter. I believe BRHS and SJA have earned a little respect. Both teams have played the hands they were given, and won their games. They may be the dogs now (red dawgs in the case of SJA), but they will give any team in the state a run for their money! (except maybe STM.....can anyone beat these gals?)
Good luck to all teams playing in the quarters.

Take it a few steps further: Division I: 5 of the top 10 teams lost to other top 10 teams Division II: Final 4 came from Top 10 and the other 6 teams lost to other Top 10 teams Division III: 4 of the top 10 teams lost to other top 10 teams. Not too bad of a job by the voters.

I think the voters did a fine job with the rankings...(except for the one Voter who left out Newman.)
The D1 top FIVE was hard to argue. STM, MCA, FHS, SSA & Dutchtown had great seasons and deserve their rankings.
The final 6 teams in the top 11 all deserved recognition. They all had solid seasons and won big games. I believe St. Joes and BRHS had good enough seasons to deserve top 10 votes...better than some teams ahead of them. They just didn't have enough BIG regular season wins against other top 10 teams, which probably hurt them in the rankings. However, they both proved their worth by advancing to the ELITE EIGHT.
I enjoy watching the rankings each week, and I believe the voters have done a good job. We all know that the rankings "don't mean anything"...but it's fun, and gives everyone a quick look at who's playing well without having to keep up with everyone's records.
GREAT JOB BARBEDAD20 and all of the other voters (except that 1 Newman basher)
