Congratulations to the STM Lady Cougars for winning the Division I Championship. This has truly been an incredible season for these girls, finishing undefeated (27-0-2).
The road to the state championship was not an easy one. Of the 29 games played, 18 were against ranked opponents, including victories over D2 Champion Vandebilt & D3 Champion St. Louis.
Other notable opponents include: Barbe, Sacred Heart, St. Scholastica, Mt. Carmel, Newman, St. Joes, CHSNI, Acadiana, Byrd, Dominican....
In 29 games, the Lady Cougars scored 116 goals and allowed only 14.
Kudos to the Lady Cougars for a truly memorable season.

Yes, It truly was an incredible season for the STM Cougars. I want to be the first to give my input on the game. Are you ready...... Here what might be the first and I hope a contagious description of the game. No blaming the refs..... No complaining about the distance of the game...... No blaming the weather......
Bottom line is St Thomas More was the better team Satuday...... PERIOD. Not much more to say!!
If you did not attend the match, the final goal scored by "Lil" Murphy was one of the prettiest goals I have ever seen in a high school match!
On behalf of the Barbe Lady Bucs, I just wanted to say congrats to fellow District 3 member, undefeated on the season, excellent coached team..... Congrats to the Lady Cougars on their first Division I State Championship.
