The coach drew a yellow, then the ref immediately followed for the language used after. Depends on situation, I don't think it is referred to as a soft red though, because it is not two yellows.

In High School, YES. Under Rule 12, Art 2...A player(s) shall be disqualified (yellow & red card) and the number of players on the field shall not be reduced for: a. any delayed, excessive or prolonged act(s) by which a player(s) attempts to focus attention upon himself/herself and/or prohibits a timely restart of the game. (Personally, I don't like this rule because it leaves so much to interpretation. Heck, one could be disqualified for kicking the ball away, which is usually a yellow card.)
It used to be "Taunting" was a soft red...yellow and red card. This year, Taunting is a straight red and no sub allowed.
Can you elaborate on the situation?

the ball was kicked in the air and the keeper came out of the box and jumped up to catch the ball and a player went to head the ball and they collided and the ball flew in the air and the ref immediatly gave him a "yellow red" with out question and i didnt understand that because the keeper never had possesion of the ball it was a 50/50 ball so i dont realy understand why teh call was made

I have no idea what the referee intended in this scernario. I can't see the reasoning behind the yellow card much less the red.
