I have seen some very talented players mentioned here. My only problem with this discussion is that the great freshman sitting behind the awesome senior and brilliant junior will never get mentioned. Teams with depth don't need to use freshmen at Varsity. Look at the Mount Carmel JV, which sports 18 Freshman some of whom play RPL alongside (or in front of) some of the players you discuss here. You will see these players in two years.
So with that said, I will give you what I have seen:
Kristi at Chapelle is fantastic and deserves all the accolades given to her. Another Keeper to watch is the young lady from SSA. We were told that she is a Freshman when we played them. This is one who is sitting behind a phenominal upper classmen.
Brielle Bordes is tremendous. Love wtching her play. On the same team, Kelly Holahan got no mention. She is an allstar freshman midfielder sitting behind a group of stellar upperclass players.
I agree with Morgan Becnel from E.D. White. I have seen her play with the boys and leave them crying.
I saw mention of Maddi Comet, who played lights out the two times that I saw her play, but here is another one who is on the same RPL team, but sits on Varsity. Laura Griffith for MCA. Remember the name, you will see a lot of her in the future.
And finally one that probably flew completely under the radar because the team was not too good. Kimberly Porche of Hahnville. By far, the best player on that team as a freshmen.

MCarmel JV - super impressive. We lost 0-1 to them and was a little confused how we got such a good result:)

I am going to jump on the Nicole Megginson bandwagon at Dtown. She was a talented forward back in the day and helped my little Summer make a goal now and again in D-1 a few years ago. She has that forward speed back on defense and is playing at a high level. Starting and playing every minute on varsity as a freshman says a lot on its own.

Pompey:
EA JV played a great game with a lot of heart. The sloppy field made it hard for both teams to play their best game. Would have loved to see the game in the stadium. Both teams could have shown more of their skill. look forward to the next tilt.

doubled - With some of the young talent coming up in St. Charles Parish, they will be quite good in a few years.

Now that everything is over, I think it is time these young ladies get their just recognition. In their first year, these talented freshmen played above their age and helped propel the SSA Doves into a remarkable season and eventually into the State Finals:
Kate Gutterman (#3) - center mid (sorely missed after injury in 1st half) Abbey Childress (#8) - center mid (played entire season with fierce tenacity) Meagan Due (#2) - forward ("Ish" as she is referred to by her team, helped maintain speed and energy during substitutions) Abbey Restor (#6) - center mid (another up and coming player for the Doves) Alena Naccari (#23) - goalie (all stater in the making)
A lot can be said about all of the talented freshmen playing high school soccer, but these young ladies not only played, but contributed to the success that the Doves enjoyed during their amazing run this season. You will hear more about them in the future.

I"m not reading all this. Madeline Vines for CHNI. Great player. Showed minor inexperience on the high school level though.

Backline, I would agree that Madeline Vines of CHSNI belongs in this conversation. She & Sydney Schwing were the two freshmen starters on this team that played in the state finals and Madeline scored the lone CHS goal in that game. She is the more polished player of those two. I think she played all 80+ minutes as well.

Dominican's version of the freshmen holy trinity: Maddie Camet (I liked the above mispelling "comet", seems apropos) Angel Allen Mia Meydrych All three girls logged serious minutes in the State final and contributed throughout the year. Mt. Caramel's Brielle Bordes is also a star on the rise.

Savannah Holyfield 8th grader OCS. Great touch, good finishing power, soft passes. A little timid, but when she gets over that she will be a force. Played a number of positions for the Lady Eagles. Someone to watch.
