Confirming Rummel 2 Destrehan 0. Turned out to be a very close game. As usual, Destrehan played their offside trap and caught Rummel off numerous times in the first half. Rummel had the run of play in the first half but I don't recall either keeper being tested ... until late in the first half the AR missed an obvious offside call (agreed to by Rummel parents in the area) near the halfway line. Destrehan keeper came way out and deflected the ball, Rummel striker retrieved the ball in the corner and crossed to teammate for the finish. Rummel up 1-0 with just a few minutes left in the first half. After about the first five minutes of the second half, Destrehan began to get the better of the play. Their best chance came about 15 minutes in, when a volley from straight on about 15 years away was struck well but nearly at the keeper who was able to deflect the shot over the bar. At about the 20 minute mark, Rummel was able to go up 2-0 on a defensive lapse. After Destrehan cleared the ball out of their penalty area, a Rummel midfielder collected the ball and dribbled at the defensive that was pulling out in a square line. The midfielder made a nice move to get past one defender and broke in solo on the keeper, kept his composure and finished cleanly. Destrehan had one more good chance that was chested away/blocked by Rummel's sweeper. Rummel played their usual organized defense and did not allow many chances.

coach4365, im surprised you had cro over us by 3. honestly, we controlled almost the entire game, the only thing that kept it that close was the fact that in the first half especially we didnt do a very good job of finishing our chances; we had a a number of good ones. cro had their goal in the first half and stayed up 1-0 until about 10 minutes left in the game when we finally put a shot in and tied it. we continued to press and with 2:30 left we got our second. carencros, to my memory, only had a few good chances, a good ball played into a forward that was sent straight to our keeper, and then in the second a number of shots our keeper was able to save, pretty much all of their chances came from playing the ball over our defense wide, and then playing them in.

Ruston over Byrd 2-1
Ruston was up by 2 at the end of the half. Byrd scored about 15 to 20 minutes into the 2nd half. Very close and physical game.

LHS 6-----St A 1 Not as close as the score. LHS started subbing at the start of the 2nd half when the outcome was clear. St A played hard and clean---only 2 cards (yellow-1 each) toward the end of the match.
