Yes flat 3, I am picking Newman over CD and im sorry about the confussion. I should have stated that sentence better. What i was implying was that I would not be very surprised if CD did somehow pull off another upset. This time over Newman. If that did happen. I think that they maybe able to be TCH if TCH does make it to the semi's. CD defence did well against OC's offence that has scored around 110 goals this year and In my opinion, TCH just does not have the offence to win that game, if it happend. But like that ole' quote says, "Defence wins championships" and TCH does have a very solid defence so you will just never know what could happen. But I still feel Newman has the better shot at this game b/c they game will be played at their home field and for other various reasons.

The final score was Newman 4 - Ouachita Christian 0. Newman was a strong side and solid at all positions today. I am proud of my OCS team for this season! They faced some challenges this year and grew as young men as a result.
Blessings all, best wishes throughout the playoffs.

Win On Three
Im a Teurlings player and i know that our offense might not seem strong but we do get the opportunities... OC's goalie played a great game against us i give that to him.... we had two shots on goal that were score-bound but he came up beautifully...
we played STM (st. thomas more) and loss to them 2-0 having missed 3 goals that were also score-bound
but the only way to win is to put the ball IN THE BACK OF THE NET true... so i see how you can say our offense is lacking some talent.... we've worked on that the last few games... W/ confidence we'll score goals.... THAS WHAT WE'RE LACKING

St. Thomas Aquinas 6 Lutheran 0 Sets up expected quarterfinal of St. Martins at St. Thomas Aquinas. Should be a good game between two teams with strong defense. I think St. Martins will be favored as they have a more potent attack. In common opponent non-tournament games this year, St. Martins defeated Destrehan 3-2 (at St. Martins) and Destrehan defeated STA 3-0 at Destrehan. Both games played in December.

this in respones to the comment about destrahan.
STA was missing 4-5 key players and a head coach. anybody who knows STA knows that the coach is spectacular.

he is a great coach, read the thread about coaches.
anyway that is not the point i was tring to get across. the point is that you can't judge a team by a game they perviously played and compare that to how they will do in a playoff game, they are 2 different mediums.

he is a great coach, read the thread about coaches. I skimmed through it and didn't find anything about STA's coach in particular. Did I miss something?

Sounds like great planning on the parts of the coaches. I hope they like having little time to prepare for the next game.

I just heard that the final score was 8-4 TC over Menard. The game was closer than the score indicates. It was tied at 3 at 5 minutes into the second half. TC will host University at 7:00 Tuesday (exact place is unknown).
