Not necessarily. Certain not red as it wasn't goal scoring opportunity. Possibly a yellow for handling, bit it did not appear to be done to take away an opportunity from the attacker (none were close) but appeared to just be a reaction. I likely would have given a PK and no card.
And please, the offense is "handling" not hand ball. There is no foul called hand ball.

Hand ball while not correct is easier to scream at the ref- just kidding- mostly. Maybe our parents need to practice screaming handling instead. Wonder if the ref would appreciate our usage of the correct terminology.

There is a joke among the referees that if a player every yelled "handling" instead of "handball" that they would get the call, even if it really wasn't, just because they used proper terminology
