M Unit, thanks for the updates! you're obviously impressed (sound almost mesmerized)with the amazing skills of NLC GK but if you can possibly pull yourself away, maybe you can give us an update on Jesuit/CD?

Half an hour before the 11:20 matches start & Newman is nowhere to be found! St. Louis been here forever warming up, then Dutchtown & Rummel show up a while ago, but the Greenies...??
Still 2-0 folks in both matches. JHS blew an easy opp but has CD handled.

NCS finally has a good shot from left that skims across crossbar & played out.
What's there to say about JHS match? They're running circles for most part around CD. JHS has had at least 2 easy shot opps they couldn't finish. I think they did a wholesale sub of several players at some point.
Final: NCS 0-2 BM ; JHS 2-0 CD
I imagine CD will fare better against other opponents?

M Unit, thanks for the updates! you're obviously impressed (sound almost mesmerized)with the amazing skills of NLC GK but if you can possibly pull yourself away, maybe you can give us an update on Jesuit/CD? I feel your pain, getm! It's hard being the only one out here trying to multitask. Unfortunately, I'm not omnipresent. I was positioned in between both fields that were end to end. Both JHS goals were in 1st half & at the far end of the pitch, so I couldn't see much. Also, CD had little to (possibly) no shots on goal. BM kept having numerous shots on goal, so obviously reporting on that. Plus, I admit I know NCS gk, and if you look at any of my recent posts on NCS, I've been giving him a hard time for his play. So, good to give him props. Both matches between Rummel & Newman ("bus problems") and Dutchtown & St. Louis have begun. Amazed that Newman match started on time...even before Dutchtown! M Unit

Both st. Louis (SL) & Dutchtown (DHS) have each had a good shot opp, DHS especially. Newman (NS) pressing good against Rummel (AR)... 0-0 so far in both. Goalieguy is gonna help me out now. M

Rummel seems to be putting more pressure on Newman's defense now but are unable to get a clean shot off.

SL scores about 16min in. Dude zings a shot from left, gk dives to right deflecting it, but another SL there for easy header down into the goal.
SL 1-0 DHS ; 0-0 still in other match.

Stuck in a mostly empty "gubmant" office, my fingers itching to add verbs and/or adverbs, adjectives, nouns, spare or superlative language, grand and graphic descriptions, praises and pans, commentary, criticism, and kudos, raves and rants, ... drat! ... working for a living is overrated.
Thanks for the updates coach... keep'um comin'. Regards.

Newman gets cross off that is headed into Rummel player for corner. Corner headed over the bar.

Still 0-0 in Newman Vs Rummel game.
Compared to the Dutchtown/st Louis game, the Newman game is quiet. I mean that literally and physically.

27 min into 1st half DHS is called for handball just outside box. SL couldn't convert free kick that crashed through DHS wall.
Still 1-0 SL over DHS. 0-0 in other match that saw NS #4 with 2 opps that didn't convert (1 being the header that went just over crossbar off corner; the other a 1v1 on gk who handled his shot).
DHS just had shot on goal that SL gk swallowed up with little consequence. A couple of players on both fields slipping on field. Time for different cleats?

Newman gets corner opportunity that bounces around and then is headed to the keeper. Not much is happening in this game.

SL 1-0 over DHS at half. 0-0 at half in NS vs AR.
SL vs DHS very speedy, physical & intense. Mostly being controlled by SL, who I'm quite impressed with - good communication, good passing, mostly good control. DHS looks very frustrated.

M Personal note: I'm probably more familiar with Newman than most... been to about 15 games the last three years. But heading crosses over the bar is the bane of their offense. Could there be an opportunity to introduce for some serious, specific practice heading down at the ground? ... forget the goal mouth ... a ball bounced down into the turf has a good chance of being converted ... heading down does involve a slightly different technique.
