BRHS has great opportunity but shot is put right to the keeper. A few seconds later SPS takes shot from far side and it deflects off BR player into the goal.

Can anyone explain how the point system works. I know it's 6 for a win, 1 for shutout, and up to 3 for goal differential. And a loss is 0 points. But what is a tie?

St. Paul's scores again. I think it was #6. BR has not had much of an attack.

Capt. Shreve vs. st. Martin's 0-0 in 1st half. St. Louis players are watching this match & not too happy the way their match just ended vs. Dutchtown...

Baton Rouge gets free kick from about 20 yards out on hard foul. Kick hits off of wall, follow up is put on target but SPS keeper makes great save to cause corner. Corner is easily cleared.
This morning Captain Shreve played a 4-5-1 vs SPS and after talking with the SPS coach many teams have been doing that to them. Baton Rouge is not so I think that is really hurting them.

"All teams are scheduled three preliminary games of 70 minutes. The semi-final and championship games will be 80 minutes in duration. In the semi-final and final games there will be two ten-minute overtime periods (golden goal format) and, if necessary, High School kicks. "Team standings will be based upon a ten point system: 6 points for a win 3 points for a tie 1 point for each goal scored win, lose or tie [up to three goals] 1 point for a shutout [win or tie] Group winners will be selected according to the following criteria: 1st point total 2nd head-to-head competition 3rd goal differential [three goal maximum difference per game} 4th fewest goals allowed 5th Penalty Kicks (NFHS)." Controversial goal for St. Martin's right before half! Capt. Shreve definitely called for obvious handball outside box. Free kick gets past wall & ensuing shot hits under crossbar, ricochets down & ref calls that it crossed line for a goal. It was then knocked in (again) just in case since everybody was confused whether it was a goal or not. The CS lady watching game from her tailgate at that end of pitch screamed that it didn't cross line...Who knows what really just happened??
St. Martin's 1-0 Capt. Shreve at half.

1-1 in 2nd half. #11 for be fakes a foul and converts long free kick on goalie error.
