Just heard that Baton Rouge beat St. martins 1-0. Confirmed--heard BRHS was playing down a man for a portion of this match

Lafayette is controlling most of the game with vandy getting a few counters. Ref is calling it tight which is hurting Lafayette.

Both matches have restarted now, NS vs AR first.
AR has had a couple of shots on goal (2 I believe) that were easily handled.
SL #9 had a shot on goal that went just over crossbar shot from left. SL #1 deffy had some talent weaving between defenders & w/a well-controlled hard shot.
Still 1-0 SL & 0-0 NS/AR.

SL continuing to have well-controlled passes, like the most recent 1 to #9 right outside center of box whose shot goes wide right.
SL coach yelling at his players, "Shut up! Think you know it all?! That's why we blah blah blah, numbskull!" I guess that motivational strategy has worked for SL?

Not much happening in the Newman vs Rummel game. Both teams seem evenly matched.
I'm really enjoying watching the feild marshal deal with the dogs from the house next to the Feilds. They won't stay off the feild.

#2 for Rummel finally takes the ball down the feild weaves in and out of two players and gets a great shot off into the bottom corner. Not much could be done by keeper.
1-0 Rummel up

Player down from Newman. Didn't see the foul but they only have a throw in.
Ref from Dutchtown/st Louis game is quite comical. Doing a good job though.

SL vs DHS match seems to be getting more physical & intense! I will say I'm quite impressed w/ DHS gk, who seems to be the shining star on this team IMHO.
What would SPS Holiday tourney be without this crazy cross between Old Yeller & Cujo dog disrupting play at times??
Still 1-0 SL ; AR winning over pretty flat NS...

In the waning minute of the match, DHS had a free kick from left that rockets to diving gk who tries falling on it as he is collecting it. Unfortunately for him, he can't contain the rocket & another DHS finishes easy for the equalizer!
SL, I feel, certainly dominated match, but kudos to DHS for never giving up!
1-1 tie final score! Wow.

Games have switched to the front fields at CYSA so now it is harder to watch both games because the concession stand is in the way.
SPS game has just begun. Captain Shreve/St. Martins game has not begun.
