Well over half picking St. Paul's.Shreve:Soft opponents, soft schedule. Same people picked Norshore to beat the Gators. But after a grueling scoreless regulation and into the second overtime, an exhausted Northshore team dropped their guard, and Shreve struck with a lethal uppercut. The Gators will be ready to fight. St Paul's:Keep your hands up.

But after a grueling scoreless regulation and into the second overtime, an exhausted Northshore team dropped their guard, and Shreve struck with a lethal uppercut. The Gators will be ready to fight. St Paul's:Keep your hands up. Shreve will always be in a game if they can keep it close because of their ability to score at a moments notice. Being a counter attacking team (or opportunistic) they can manufacture a goal from seemingly innocuous situations. I do think having 5 legitimate scoring threats (and our goal distribution this year attests to this) makes us fairly unique in Division I, of course we haven't faced a Defense like St. Paul's either and without our holding midfielders Goree and Clark we don't get everyone forward and our backline has really jelled this season led by 3d year starter GK Jacob Carruth, a converted football tight end whose good hands have helped us on numerous occassions. Ok so just in jest I was giving some thought about this four horsemen nonsense and think I have found a better solution... (just having fun..ok) ...

I have not seen Cap'n Shreve play since last years 2-1 loss to St Paul's in the SPS tourney. I am going to predict 1-0 St. Paul's in a tense match.

St. Paul's will keep possession and pose more of a attacking threat but when a cobra is defensive he is the most dangerous. Shreve wins 2-1.

Anyone know how many players Shreve carries? My guess is not enough....... St. Paul's has a very deep bench with alot of talented players on it. Also heard the Wolves have been working on their Mongoose ninja moves to counter the "5 Headed Cobra" attack.....

yeah, gonna be tough with 13 or so impact players with the humidity. As mentioned above SPS has the deepest bench in the state. The SPS bench would be a top 10 team.

A deep bench is important, but it's all about the 11 players on the field. Shreve doesn't need that kind of bench as long as everyone doesn't get tired. Thing is, as bad as I want Shreve to win, and I think that on their day, Shreve has the players to win this, St. Paul's looks like an immense team right now. I've been predicting St. Paul's to win state for a while too.
2-0 St. Paul's
Good luck, Shreve. I'll be pulling for you

Sent from my SPH-L710 using proboards Advantage Cap'n Shreve? Gators out training while Wolves sit in class all day. Huh?? A completely foreign routine and being able to focus on the game (and likely over-think things) all day gives them an advantage?!? As a coach, I would want my boys doing everything the same as they always do. Maybe I'm crazy, though...

Agree to some extent but the alternative was to spend all day on the bus thinking about game..so instead take in a movie Sent from my SPH-L710 using proboards
