Surely he watched in the stands as the bears lost to SPS to end the season in a few years past. Incredible moment for him and his family for sure.

Full Time Stats
Catholic BR 9 shots, 5 on goal, 1 blocked, 3 corner kicks, 3 saves
St. Paul’s 7 shots, 3 on goal, 2 blocked, 4 corner kicks, 4 saves
The possession was close to 50-50 in the second half, maybe a slight advantage to Catholic. St. Paul’s looked dangerous for a significant portion of the game, but was unable to score. Catholic was able to navigate a long stretch of the game where they weren’t creating many chances, and the Bears finished strong. I didn’t see exactly how the goal developed because I was typing, but a loose ball fell to #4 for Catholic about 40 yards from goal. The Wolves were too slow in closing him down, so he decided to hit a volley from about 30 yards out. The shot was perfect, leaving the St. Paul’s goalkeeper with no chance as it flew over him and dipped under the crossbar.
The Wolves will lament some missed chances today. I think their best chance to score came about 20 minutes into the first half, but the forward whiffed his shot from about 10 yards out. Other than a glancing header from a free kick, that was their best scoring opportunity all game.

Catholic has now shut Saint Paul’s out over the course of 240 minutes plus this season. They did not dominate possession today like the first two games, but did not give St Paul’s many chances. The Catholic center backs did not allow Spath to take more than one shot. They didn’t allow him to touch many balls. Heavy weight fight between quality teams.

Best of luck to the Bears going forward. Quality team who plays hard but nothing dirty... confident but not cocky or negative, and made the necesary adjustments. We were the better team in the first half after the first ten but they domintated the second half and their goal, #4, was a dime. Senior laden, theyll be tought to beat. Hope their #10 is not done again... probably shouldnt have played in the 2nd half.

They have a ton of respect for the Wolves and how they play.
