Im surprised this thread doesn't have more posts. Five D1 teams ranked in the top ten in one tournament. Someone let me know what is happening down there. Caddo beat BRH in the first round.

FHS 1 BM 1 It appeared to get a little heated at the end with a BM player getting yellow carded after the game.

FHS 1 BM 1 It appeared to get a little heated at the end with a BM player getting yellow carded after the game. One BM player got a red card..and after the game a player used some harsh verbal language toward the referee and got red carded... i believe

From what I hear Magnet played a fantastic game. They were down in the first half 1-3 and came back on the 2nd half to beat St Paul 4-3. Well done Caddo! Shreve Dad I appreciate your support but we do hope you are wrong on the Final result. Final should read Magnet over Jesuit :-)

yes, jesuit has been pretty quiet so far this tournament, not scoring boatloads of goals on weaker opponents, yet they still draw the biggest crowds of players from other teams. I watched part of their first game and saw an absolutely magnificent goal. Im not sure if they have played their true starting varsity line up this tournament.
My summary of BM vs FHS First half was almost all FHS. BM started out a little faster but soon FHS got their legs. FHS had more quality shots, 4 of which went straight to the keeper. BM went on a rampage in the last 5 minutes of the half, but they couldnt get one in. 2nd half was almost all BM. They got a goal about 2 mins off a corner, with some bad marking i guess and a scrum in the box put the ball in the net. Then FHS started coming at them with counter attacks and the game started to get heated. yellows were handed out to a few BM players probably for language, but idk. FHS got their goal off of a keeper mistake. BM kicked the ball out to let off an injured FHS player, then FHS booted it down to the corner. A BM defender passed it to the keeper, then the keeper passed it back to him, but it was intercepted by FHS forward, he crossed, and Brooks i believe put it in. The referee was in no mans land in that game, calling many terrible calls for both teams, but thats the way it goes sometimes.
Caddo Magnet vs St Pauls was an offensive shootout. Some great goals in this game. Not much to say, but ALOT of offense.
Another result i heard a parent say was Newman over FHS 1-0. Anyone confirm this?
That would mean the BM vs Newman game tomorow would be for their bracket

Dutchtown v Jesuit tomorrow. What's the game plan Pitch? Jesuit has conceded 1 goal in 17 games.

Here's the game plan....HOT OFF THE PRESSES....keep this on the DL now....
Drum roll......"play better than we did against Northshore", that's our plan.
No really...we have something in the works that we haven't looked at this year.....It's no secret that we are "decent" defensively, but have problems generating goals against top teams. We've been trying several different things recently, against the quality teams we've faced in the past two tournaments with mixed results. By about 10:15am tomorrow we'll have an idea if this new "tweak" helps us any.
In case anyone wasn't aware....ALL of the GAME TIMES were moved up an hour and a half! Just in case anyone is making the trip to Covington.

Shreve Dad I appreciate your support but we do hope you are wrong on the Final result. Final should read Magnet over Jesuit :-) I'm not picking anyone to beat Jesuit just yet. Lets see which Louisiana team can score a goal on them first.
